When I lived in Florida, we were always evacuating during a hurricane. We used to have a little portable safe that we would take with us with all of our important stuff. It was firesafe and when we moved, we had to leave it behind because it was so heavy to take on the plane with us. Fast forward, we live in AZ and I miss having a little safe and thought this would be a good alternative.If you were looking at something fireproof and safe, I'm not sure I would get this. It doesn't really look that much different than my other file folders except that it is bigger and seems more durable. Would it last in a fire or in a burning car? probably not.What it does work for, is portable filing. I do housecalls and have a lot of paperwork in the trunk of my car. I've switched to this because it is so handy and more compact than a regular plastic filing bin.I feel it's overpriced for what it is, especially since I don't have confidence in it's fireproof coating but it is a nice thick, decent and lightweight portable filing folder to keep work/home important documents all together.

This is a nice, lightweight file organizer that comes with a dozen or so internal pockets to separate items and has additional slots for smaller items such as passports, etc. It has handles which makes it portable like a soft-sided briefcase. I find it particularly useful for my needs, since we have a second vacation property that we visit at various times during the year. I don't want to leave important documents such as deeds, insurance papers, property bills, etc. lying around in the vacation house for extended periods when we are not there. By filing everything in this portable folio, I can easily carry all the documents relevant to the property when I go and keep them with me back home in case I need them wherever I happen to be. A practical solution for my problem. A bit more organized than just having a disparate bunch of file folders in a general purpose briefcase.

I got this b/c my office caught fire, and we lost everything, it really makes you think more when something like that happens to you. I got this b/c I kept some of my important paperwork at work and lost them. This is nice and seems like it'll hold up, but I haven't thrown it a fire or put a lighter to it to see if its truly fireproof.

This Life Important Document Organizer is nice. It has a lot room, more than I thought. A nice place to put alot of your important papers in. I would recommend this product.

I cannot review how well this binder actually holds up to a house fire since we have never had one but I do feel better having it. It looks and feels like a good quality binder and has spaces to keep all your important documents organized well. The zipper works great, the labels are great and I think it's well worth the money.

Nice to have an organizer for my important documents, and although it says it's fireproof, I would not bet my life on it. It has multi colored pockets, and closes nicely so I know to retrieve it in case of emergency. It also have some separate smaller pockets for passports, or licenses, etc. Would recommend this folder organizer.
