"ThinkTex Folio Important Document Organizer" is as described, a somewhat camouflaged, customizable, and sturdy "book" for collecting paperwork.-------------Pros:* It's designed well for doing what it's supposed to do - storing papers.* The included envelopes come in a variety of sizes and orientations and are durable.* Because the envelopes are closed with a string-tie, you also don't have to worry about injuries from metal tabs or wearing out / breaking tabs when opening and closing them.* The organizer comes with envelope labels, numbered pages, and a table of contents for additional customization and organization options.* Physically, it's lightweight, sturdy, with a well-made cover and binding, and comes with an elastic band to keep it closed.* It's versatile, and works well for, among other things: miscellaneous document storage; family and medical documents; vehicle and property documents; end of life planning, and keeping information together in general, especially for emergencies.* Because of all of the above, the organizer is easy to use and handle, making it accessible to all ages, which is also very important during and emergency.* The organizer looks like a photo album or book, and can be well camouflaged in a bookshelf. It's also beautiful with a fantastic illustration on the cover, making it a conversation piece even as it keeps important documents hidden in plain sight.* And best yet, it's VERY suitable for gifting! :D-------------Meh:* The envelopes can hold a decent amount, but each envelope isn't big enough to hold a lot of bulky documents (like multiple insurance policy breakdowns) by itself. That means that you might need to use multiple envelopes and / or insert envelopes of your own to keep bulkier documents of 1 kind together.-------------Cons:* The envelopes aren't acid-free, and the organizer isn't fireproof, waterproof, or lockable. Because of this, it's best to use it for non-critical copies instead of original documents. Alternatively, you can also use it for important documents, but keep the organizer itself in a container that IS fireproof, waterproof, and lockable.* The included labels smudge and just aren't great in general. You should probably buy some better quality ones if you plan on using labels.* At $45, this feels pretty expensive.-------------In general, the organizer is beautiful and practical, encourages organization, and helps to declutter your living space. Aside from the lack of document security features, that's pretty much everything you'd need for emergency and / or end of life circumstances, and is -certainly- good for holding copies of those things even without the document security features. So would I order "ThinkTex Folio Important Document Organizer" again? Actually, at $45, I wouldn't. If it were $25 or maaayyybbeeee $35 max I'd definitely consider it, but $45 is too much for me. This is especially true, because I'm organized by nature, and am thus set up to build a much more customizable version of this with that I already have on hand. The one thing that this really has going for it is that it looks like a book or an album, and that camouflage is something that I can't replicate without spending roughly the same amount of money. However, without the document security features, I'd likely have to keep it in another container anyway, making the camouflaging ability basically pointless.I hope that this helps! :D

This is a wonderful option for organizing your important documents. It has lots of compartments to stash away paperwork. I have a fire safe bag that is large enough to fit this binder inside which makes it extra safe in case of emergency and I need to grab this. Other than that, this is an excellent tool to have your keepsakes and important documents that you may need to dig up. You can quickly find them once you set this up with the included label stickers and table of contents in the front. It is very functional in storing your meaningful belongings for you to refer to when needed. The nautical theme is cute as well to make it feel like a map of your documents.

Each page acts as its own folder, essentially creating a binder full of individual sections. They even included labels, so you can easily organize and identify what each folder is for. helps the unorganized to get organized.

This book is exactly what it describes: a folio with string-tied envelopes designed to hold important documents safely in a single place. It also includes a place where you can hand-write in a table of contents so that each envelope is safely catalogged, and a sheet of labels so you can label individual folders and items right on the envelope. There are many more labels than there are envelopes, so it's safe to say that you can use them multiple times to keep each envelope currently up-to-date -and- also to label the items going in the envelopes, too!The construction of the folio is just like that of a picture album. It's light, not weighty like an actual book, leaving you immediately conscious of the fact that this is a fake book made primarily of paper and stiff envelopes holding air. The fact that it has an elastic band to keep it shut is -most- welcome, especially since filling the envelopes substantially expands the size of the book itself! If I had one qualm about filling this with important documents, it would be the obvious one: it's neither waterproof or fireproof. However, what it IS is an easily-accessible central place to store certain documents in a way that even a small child could understand. Teaching kids or elderly parents that they need to grab "the map book" or "the compass book" in an emergency would be so much easier than impressing on them the need to fetch a file, safe, or vault.I actually really wish I'd had something like this when going through school, starting with elementary school. So many little important documents and awards got lost over the years, and I could've kept them safe if I'd had a central folio like this one. But, now, I'm long past that age, and hold only regrets. Hindsight is 20/20, right? In any case, this would be handy for way beyond the standard birth certificates, pink slips, and such, being useful for holding important papers related to any endeavor!
