I normally read customer reviews before purchasing, but I didn't do that here, regrettably. Now reading reviews, I'm surprised it is still being sold based on the number of folks that have reported the same issue of cracking and poor quality. We purchased in Oct. 2023 and the mats (bought 2) both had multiple cracks in them within the first three months (outside the return window). The mats lay on quality carpet with an upgraded pad so we wanted to protect it. I think because the mat is thin and not pliable, it leads to easy cracking. For reference, I weigh 5'6" 125 and my husband is 6' 175. So, it's not as if we're stressing these mats. They also still show the waves from when the mat was rolled in its packaging (a year later). I do NOT recommend at all.

I'm not heavy, and the chair wheels sunk into it. Also it arrived curled up and never fully flattened out. If it ships curled up, it will probably be too lightweight.

My old mat finally broke down the middle fold and I needed a replacement. I was looking for something larger and this mat is perfect! It is shipped rolled, not folded like other chair mats. It was challenging to unroll, but once I got it on the floor, it has worked well.

Works as intended. Frosted plastic with nibs on the bottom to keep it from sliding around. Unfortunately, mine slides around anyways but it does protect my rug from my computer chair and dirt. I ruined the previous rug with a dirt spot where my chair and feet were - couldn't get it to come clean even when professionally cleaned. Won't do that again!

This mat feels true to size, and is quite stiff. I ordered two for both me and my husband. Our desks are now on carpet and we want to preserve it. The mats came rolled up so we had to flatten them over the coarse of a day or so (climate makes a difference), there were instructions on how to flatten out the mat which was nice, but I think common sense is enough to know what to do, use them accordingly. Beware of the "pokies/thorns" like things on the bottom of the mat though when rolling them out. They are not pleasant to be poked with. My only con's (which don't entirely feel like cons) would be that the mat feels about 6 inches too long, but neither of us roll our chairs all the way back to the back edge of the mat, but it's good to be safe. Also, what I find the most annoying (and I think it's unavoidable with the carpet) is that the mat will sink where your chair feet are after you've sat at your desk for a bit, which makes it hard to adjust your position at the desk, the chair will want to roll back into the divots. Not a deal breaker, but it is annoying. Overall I think this mat is worth it, and it's certainly cheaper than going to staples for the same thing.

Compared to other chairmats I've used, this one is works well enough, but isn't quite as sturdy as other chairmats I've used. My old chairmat was thick, and my office chair could roll on it effortlessly. This chairmat on the otherhand, is a bit thinner; and as a result my office chair leaves larger impressions on the mat's surface. These impressions prevent my office char from effortlessly rolling on it - as I'm used to. Still, to be honest, the difference is small. I can get used to it. But if you have the chance to get a thicker mat - get that one instead.Note:The packaging had this chairmat rolled-up (not surprising). But being rolled-up made it very difficult to keep flat. I had to unroll the chairmat and place a few heavy items on it for two days to make it useable.

I have a very unique room-sized rug that I didn't want to ruin with my roller chair. This chair mat does the job beautifully. It clings just enough to the carpet to not allow the mat to slide around and it is thick enough to allow the chair to roll with ease.It arrived very quickly and was not rolled up so tightly that it took forever to flatten out. And it was rolled in the right direction so when I did remove it from the box and placed it on the carpeting it did not flip up on the edges.I am very pleased with this carpet mat.

This is a very thick chairmat and priced very reasonably for a big piece of plastic but it was something I did need. I've only had this mat for a day so I will probably will add an update later about durability but initially I want to add a word of caution about this product...wear gloves when handling this product! The grippers on the bottom aren't really sharp but because the mat comes rolled up, to be expected, it takes a lot of effort to get it flat and the grippers can cause a lot of pain. It probably would have been a good idea to allow it to come up to room temperature first, when it arrived the temperature was in the lower 30's (spring comes late in the northern Rockies) so it made it very difficult to get it flat. I had to wait for a while to let it warm up. Gassing out gave an order much akin to a new garden hose, it is PVC, but the smell was gone in a few hours. Made in USA.I bought this chairmat from this vendor because I had bought another product from them, a Contemporary Palimino Leather Recliner/Ottoman with Swiveling Mahogany Wood Base, BT-7821-Palimino-GG last September (2012) and I am exceptionally pleased with it so knowing the quality of that product it just mad sense to me to buy this product from them. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
