This thing seems to fit a little too tightly into my battery. The other end is fine going into my Makita Tool. It did work though and my impact drill didn't have any issue with the 20V battery. The adapter does do what's advertised, the connections seem nice and thick to hold the current safely. The plastic casing seems kind of cheap. Probably good for a short usage, but not as a permanent replacement for Makita batteries.

The 20V Dewalt to 18V Makita battery adapter by YRGJDCA is a valuable addition to any toolbox. It effectively allows you to use your 20V Dewalt batteries with any 18V Makita tool, without adding significant bulk or weight. Additionally, it enables you to charge your Dewalt batteries using a Makita charger, reducing the need to carry both chargers.Another noteworthy feature is the USB port, which allows you to charge any USB device directly from your Dewalt battery. The adapter's build quality is durable, and it performs as advertised. However, I did notice a minor issue with the overall fit and finish. It requires a fair amount of force to lock the Dewalt battery into the adapter, and it does not fit flush. As shown in the photo, the adapter doesn't slide all the way back to the release, nor does it have the same edge profile, causing it to hang slightly off the opposite end. While this cosmetic issue may not be a major deal-breaker, it is worth noting that those who purchase high-end tools like Dewalt and Makita often take pride in their equipment. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that the fit could be improved. Nevertheless, the adapter works perfectly fine, fulfills its purpose, and I would still recommend it to anyone who needs it.

Use DeWalt batteries to power a Makita toolDid you know that DeWalt is made by Craftsman in China? Meaning everyone with the DeWalt lineup - myself included - has essentially been duped into buying a black and yellow Craftsman for twice the price. Yet somehow the batteries STILL aren't interchangeable between those brands. And once you have even one battery operated tool, your stuck in the battery game they've set up for us all. Even their warranty is boreline fraudulent. The horrow stories I've read - after attempting to use it on almy leaf blower that broke - are truly terrible. Lifelong customers being screwed out of every possible cent after spending thousands of dollars. Yep, definitely done with DeWalt.

Works perfectly. If you have any DeWalt batteries, you can use them with Makita tools. You cannot, however, put this into a charger according to the manufacturer; that appears to be correct as not all power connections are available. But of its intended use, it saves you from buying lots of extra batteries - And it works! It appears well made and good solid plastic, not flimsy at all. A real good way to use different tools if you have an assortment of batteries. There are other combinations available, although I only tried the DeWalt Battery to Makita tool version.

I say thank you to whoever invented this . I have a lot more Makita use batteries then DeWalt. I wanted to have the option to buy more DeWalt tools without spending all the money on batteries and chargers again. This little device is perfect for my scenario. Just connect this to your DeWalt and slide your Makita battery in and Bada Bing all the sudden I have plenty of batteries for my DeWalt tools.

These are worth the money and extend the performance of tools if you have the matching battery to use. Another cost effective solution that fits well and functions as intended.

If you have power tools and you've checked them, you know Makita 18v and DeWalt 20v is exactly the same thing on volts. I have both sets of tools, and it's nice to have this adapter so I know I can use either style battery on my Makita tools. I'd like another adapter that goes from Makita to DeWalt too.
