Should have bought these years ago! I can’t believe how much we use them.

These ramekins have an organic look to em, i.e hand-made irregularities in the sides, but the bottoms are flat and even for keeping paint, pigment and solvent volumes obvious at a glance. That flat interior bottom surface has a median side length of dead-on 2.5".Plastics can be useful and robust, but well-made smooth porcelain can't be beat when it comes to low reactivity unless you go with glassware, & I have yet to find a square borosilicate petri dish of this size.

I bought these to use for sauces at individual place settings for a dinner I hosted, but my family and I now use them for everything. They're very handy! I thought they were going to be a little bigger than they turned out to be, but that ended up being ok. Great for sushi sauces, ranch dressing, Asian hot mustards, cream cheese and jams on a cheese board. A bit too small to bake in like a ramekin, I believe, but very handy for sauces and dips.

There are a few little imperfections in the surface of some of the ramekins, like little bumps and the occasional pit, but not so many as to distract from the overall quality. The white is true white, and the color is even, without odd blotches. The ramekins are a nice size for many uses. Obviously, they are usually intended for kitchen use like serving condiments or baking little tartlets. However, I've been painting and sealing them for use as trinket dishes. They work nicely as a receptacle for small items like earrings, coins, paperclips, etc.

I bought these for creme brûlée and they are the perfect size (deep) and most would say perfect size wide but I’m a far kid and want bigger. They aren’t small but more medium. I’d compare the width to the size of half a graham cracker. Depth would be comparable to the depth 2 oreos stacked. They are also great for little sauces or snack size for the kids (not my kids because I don’t trust them with porcelain). If i ever need more I will order them again or if I want bigger ones I’d order the same brand. But I wouldn’t go any smaller that’s for sure.

Arrivé rapidement. Il y en a un avec un coin légèrement brisé. Il y a des imperfections mais avec le prix ne m'y attendais un peu. Plus petit que ce que je croyais, mais je vais leurs trouver une utilité sans doute. Toujours pratique!

I decided to get these over other ramekins because A)the square shape was attractive and B) this was one of the few that had a perfect ten piece in each set. I made the creme brulees and they came out perfect, Searing sugar was easy with the even flat surfaces. Stacking them for storage and delivery to our Thanksgiving dinner was also very easy because of their shape. They are solid and were able to withstand being boiled/steamed and I even tested a few in the broiler. I look forward to making many more desserts and dips with these. All came packed very tightly with plenty of care and styrofoam. No chips, cracks or damage. Items are true to measurements. FOr the price you can not beat these.
