Bought this to replace the cheesy mount that came with my off brand action cam. The mount is all metal and very sturdy with some non-stick rubber or silicone on the bar mount so it will not mar the finish. I really like the thumbscrew on the bottom that will let you adjust rotation with tactile click-in-place adjustment. A bit more than I wanted to spend for a mount, but it is a very sturdy setup that stays where you put it.

I purchased this to use on my motorcycle (7/8" bars), it works perfectly for what it is meant to do. It mounts securely, there is rubber padding so the bars are not scratched, and the mounting head has a spring loaded / toothed pivot so you can rotate 360 degrees and positively lock it in place. The nuts are well threaded and spin many rotations with a flick of the finger (ie: smooth threading)My only issue, and it is not a problem with the mount, as I said, it does what it is supposed to do, is that on my bike it places the camera too low and I wound up with half the screen being taken up by the speedometer and tachometer and the top part of the screen showed the road. I solved this by purchasing some mount extenders - however those were made of nylon/plastic and added a bit of a vibration to the camera. The mount I am reviewing here is very stable, and I suppose if I can find those extenders made of aluminum, I can solve some of that vibration problem.

I bought this mount in order to have a way to take videos from the handlebar perspective during bike rides with my new DJI Osmo Action Camera. It replaced a cheaper all-plastic mount I purchased a few years ago for a cheaper GoPro knockoff. So far I love this mount. All pieces of the mount appear to be black finished metal, and the mounting screws will accommodate the relatively fat handlebar of my Jamis bike. The GoPro style receiver mount so far has seemed to be *extremely* resistant to allowing camera movement going over bumpy surfaces when it is finger tightened. The pan/rotate adjustment is *quite* secure - it really does have locking teeth like the pictures show so it won't creep. In fact I am able to loosen, pan and re-tighten the camera while riding. The mount comes with a small wrench for tightening the pole mount thumbscrews. Another reviewer commented that his mount shifts while riding - I just don't see that as possible, myself. It's a little pricey for what it is but it's a solid mount.

Awesome value: price, function, delivery. I am using this to hold my PowerPod power meter in place while facilitating moving the instrument from one bike to the next without delay or hassle. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

Made of sturdy material.Did not come with a gasket to put on handlebar before installing it to prevent it from turning and rolling around the handlebar during your ride. I had to use an elastic band as gasket. The tool that comes with it is handy but does not fit well to tighten the screws. Love that holder can turn 360 degrees for better camera angle. Will try during my bike ride tomorrow and see how it holds up. Will update review then.It does adjust to the size of your bike handlebar. It works for my Go Pro Hero 7.UPDATE: Holder is good. Did not even budge a bit during my 15 mile bike ride, was very stable and steady. This was a bike ride on paved roads, I do not know how it will hold up on off roads but my guess is that it would.

I purchased this mainly to attach to my bike and the build quality is impressive for the price. It is also pretty versatile in that it supports a large number of mounting options. Well worth the purchase and I would recommend this product in particular and the manufacturer in general.

This mount is an excellent piece of gear for your action camera. I mounted mine on my motorcycle and it keeps my camera mounted nice and solid to the engine guard. Makes for some real nice camera footage of my rides.

So I just used this mounting system to mount a GoPro to a motorcycle for a long distance road trip. It had both pros and cons. I had difficulty getting it tight enough not to slide around the bar. When I tightened it down to the point where it finally didn't have any movement it bent the screws making it impossible to get off the bar without cutting it off. So be careful how much you tighten it. Once mounted though, it was solid. It didn't move, it didn't come loose and it didn't break. My trip was cut short when the bike was dropped a thousand miles in at around thirty miles an hour. The bike landed directly on the camera/mount, and no part of this mount broke in the accident. Parts were ground down but it didn't break. The softer plastic parts used to attach the camera to the mount broke, but the mount was solid.

I am impressed. My concerns on ordering were clamping quality of swivel and integrity of quick-release bar clamp. Swivel has a toothed design coupled with a captive, spring-loaded clamp bolt; seems solid. The quick-release end of the bar-clamp bolt is machined to capture the bolt even if loose, so things will rotate before dropping off giving some warning. Bar clamp has chamfered ends and is velvet lined (!), so likely to be compatible with fancy plastic, i.e., carbon fiber (don't use the stuff due to enviro concerns). Radius clearly designed for 31.8mm bars, and is nice and slim at 9/16"/(14mm). Included wrench is light and works with oem GoPro fittings. Knurling is perfect on the clamp bolts but could use more "gription" on the swivel clamp. My biggest complaint is the diameter of the gopro-style clamping nuts is large enough to interfere with removal after the bar clamp swivels out, so you have to be able to slide over to a significantly smaller diameter to release. I am double wrapped, so I actually have to remove a nut to remove the clamp making the quick-release design moot for me. Would have preferred a stronger, non-quick release style clamp in light of this design issue; otherwise flat wing-nut style necessary for QR to work on 31.8. Still happy initially; time will tell if the materials hold up.
