The arm cannot be connected to the body because the square hole is slightly too small for the square mount post. As such, this device cannot be assembled as designed. I only discovered this after the window for returns had passed. This was a total waste of money.

Not suitable for metal doors. Screws do not hold. Have tried a couple of ways to get it to hold but nothing works.

By following the install diagram, it requires far too much force to open the door. Their solution is to just keep drilling holes in my trim and door until I find a position that works, but that leaves at least 6 additional holes per attempt, which makes the door and trim look like garbage.The door requires so much force to open that it was pulling my trim off the wall, so I had to reinforce it with additional screws into the door frame. The opener geometry makes the rocker attach to the trim too high to screw into the door frame directly so there's no structure behind the rocker mount.The included screws did not work on my steel door. I had to use my own self tapping screws.This product works ok, and I'm not taking it off because the holes would look terrible, but I regret buying this and should've just gone with self-closing hinges.

Worth the price! Heavy duty and easy to install. Adjustable closing and latching speed. I installed 5 in my home and very happy with this product.

This is my second purchase of this door closer. Put on on our laundry room door for when the washer or dryer is too loud. Added a second one to the computer room door for later night loud audio. I'm an auto mechanic so these type of devices are normally easy to install. You better have some mechanical aptitude before tackling. The instructions are poor but there are some YouTube videos around that will help. Over all, love this door closer and might purchase another one or two. They work great!
