Product Description

  • The hitch racks fall into two primary categories: platform racks, which are more expensive but easier to load; and hanging racks, which are typically a bit cheaper but maximize capacity.

  • The rack’s forward-tilting axis allows for easy access to the trunk without having to remove the bikes from the rack. But it is not suitable for RV, Trailer, or any car with a spare tire.

  • The rack’s adjustable cradle arms combine with an anti-sway feature to keep bikes firmly in place, and although it isn’t built to accommodate tandem or recumbent bikes, step-through frames are secured by purchasing an adapter (sold separately).

Great carrier but it did not work with my Tesla carrier hitch. Solved with a $3 part from Amazon but it was a hassle figuring it all out.

Upgraded model is well built and strong. Paint/coating is good. Straps/hold downs are good. Folding design is good. Assembly is easy. Comes with lock pin. Hitch pins are good quality.

This is our first time to use a hitch rack, we are heading out on a 2000 mile summer road tripThe usual rack we use is a simple one that goes over the back spare tire on a Jeep Wrangler. But our Mercedes GLA250 SUV is going on the road trip and it has a plastic spoiler over the rear hatchback window so it needs a hitch rack. $350 at U-Haul for the hitch. Nice price for this rack, probably will only ever use it a few times.

I didn’t expect much for the cost, but this thing is really well made. The powder coating is even and thick and it feels secure. Great value here folks. The rubber straps are challenging to get locked in but that also means they aren’t coming off.

So I am returning the first rack to see if the next one is better. The holes on two of the poles that are supposed to be connected are different. The one tube has holes that are 3 1/2" apart while the tube that slips in has the holes 3" apart. They do not align and cannot be used.Updated and it was an apparent manifesting error as the holes were drilled in the right location for the replacement hitch.
