While the items go together solidly, you can't use them on crowded av receivers terminals as is. The barrels that screw over the connections are conductive and will cause a speaker short circuit at mid to higher volumes. I went through and jacketed them with shrink wrap and that fixed the problem.

These makes wiring up a stereo system so easy. Highly recommended using these instead of twisting wires.

Barrel sleeve in non insulated. In the crowded jack panel on amplifiers it it easy for the plugs to touch together and cause a fault. The red/black I'd on the plug is small and hard to find

These plugs make for a secure connection. Much better than trying to get loose wire into screw connectors when the connectors are so closely stacked together its hard to get your fingers between them.I had to communicate with the seller since it was my first time for these banana plugs, not sure how firm I had to push to allow them to slip inside the receiver connector. Once in its a real firm connection.

Connectors work fine except for one connector which had a stuck screw in the screw hole. I applied so much pressure to get this screw to turn out, the head of the screw partly broke off and the screw is stuck in place. I believe the screw hole threads weren’t machined correctly because pieces of the thread started breaking away.I have one connector that isn’t useable withe the stuck screw blocking the wire from being inserted.

Fospower makes a plethora of good speaker connectors for the home theater enthusiast. They're solid functional and look pretty classy for a reasonable price. I have their deadlock, 90, and straight plugs running to all my speakers. I won't shop another brand for banana plugs.

I have used the straight version of these plugs for years and never had an issue. I had an application with limited space behind the unit and grabbed these space-saving right-angle plugs. The double screw binding holds the wires securely and the posts fit very snuggly into my speakers. I did need to give them a slight pinch with some pliers so they weren't quite so tight. My only negative comment on these plugs is the red/black markings. For me, in low light situations typical in back of components locations, the colors are hard to discern. I added a bit of red or black shrink tubing on each cable to help me identify. I do recommend these banana plugs and will continue to buy them as needed.
