I thought this was going to be 5 cake rings in different sizes, but they’re all exactly the same. They all have a minimum diameter of 160mm, maximum diameter of about 300mm (the markings stop at 280mm, but the ring can be extended to approximately 300mm), and a height of 15cm. The stainless steel is very sturdy and thick, and the welds seem strong and well done. All in all, very high quality rings. However, had I understood that I was getting 5 cake rings exactly the same, I probably wouldn’t have gotten these. I expected from the description to get 5 rings that increased in size from 6” - 12”. There’s probably some who need 5 identical pans, but I don’t.

This is a great alternative to buying different size molds which can get very expensive and also take up a lot of storage room. My wife is a very good amateur baker and enjoys trying new recipes, and with these rings, she doesn't have to worry if she doesn't have the correct pan size. The metal is a bit thin and sharp, so she is careful when using them. It has fitting clips to ensure the mold does not slide once set. Though these are bottomless, you can use them to bake your cake as well as use the rings as a mold to layer your cake & filling.
