I need to swirl the coffee while pushing the plunger VERY SLOWLY, or the screen buckles at the edges once the grounds have packed up against it, and then you end up with an undrinkable cup of coffee full of grounds. I have another French press that works great.Love the included sand timer though.

This is a very nice, attractive french press. I've broken a number of glass ones, so the stainless steel is much more durable, in addition to being insulated. The wood grain handles don't feel cheap and fake like many things like that. From the description, I was hoping that it would be somehow easier to clean than your typical French press. It's exactly the same as every one I've used. Not too cumbersome, but you do have to unscrew and take apart the filter. I did not appreciate the extras that came with this French press. They are just unnecessary extra clutter. The kids liked the little sand timer, but everyone has a timer on their stove or their phone, and this little plastic 4 minute timer is just cluttering up my kitchen. The spoon is a weird size - they suggest that you are supposed to use it to measure your coffee, but it takes 25 of those tiny spoonfulls to make one pot of coffee! The long handled sponge might be useful for bottle or jar cleaning if you don't already have something for that in your kitchen, but it's totally unnecessary for cleaning the French press, since it's very wide and more easily cleaned by hand with a regular wash cloth or kitchen sponge. Overall the press itself is great, I just don't like the extras.

Very unique and easy to use. I wake up in the morning first thing I want is a cup of coffee and it gets the job done and the coffee tastes amazing. I recommend this to anyone reading this product deserves more than 5 stars

I'va used several press pots over the years, but this one stands out as my favorite for 2 main reasons. Firstly, its metal construction ensures durability, which is a releif consider I have broken the carafe of a few others in the past. Secondly, its insulation capabilities keep my cofee warm for much longer compared to standard press pots. I love being able to brew a pot of cofee for myself, bring it to my desk and have it stay warm while I work at home . The size is perfect for my needs and also in case yoy have visits cause it has a large capacity. Cleaning is straightfoward and very easy with the tools included for free. It is dishwasher safe. Overall, it is a definitive winner! I have bought another for my office....waiting for co-worker's comments......
