The hood on my 2016 Sonata would not stay opened because the old struts were worn out. In less than 15 minutes, we had the old ones off and installed these. After installing one, the hood stayed open and made replacing the other one easier.Regardless, it's a two person job if you don't have something to prop the hood open. There are several videos out there showing just how to remove these and the replacements just snap right into place. They fit perfectly and are holding up the hood very well.

It took a long time for delivery but they finally arrived. I had them installed at Mr Lube free of charge with my oil change. The Lexus dealer quoted about $400.00 to install them.
