This is a very nice hat with a wide brim that in in "Casual mode" hangs down a slight bit like an Asian conical hat but is not. The brim is my favorite part on a hat that has many good featured.This hat was manufactured well with good strong fabric and stitching. The mesh at the top allows your head to breath when it is hot. It has an elastic drawstring to tighten up the hat and a chin strap if your in a windy situation.I don't plan to use it in "Cowboy mode" but it's nice it has buttons for that option but I do appreciate that it is Packable and travels well all bundled up in a bag.This is a really good hat at a great price.

I was looking for a basic hat which is light, breaths, and doesn't look dorky. This ticks the boxes and gives me the sun protection I need. It's 'wide brim' but not too big. I have a big head, and it still feels comfortable to wear. The cord helps to stop it blowing off my head in windy conditions. Just a great, practical, normal hat that does the job.

The problem with having a big head (at least by my mother's standards) is that very few hats fit easily without adjustment or being stretched to the breaking point. I'm pleased to say that this one performs far better than other hats I've tried out! It is a bit small for my head, but even with that it sits snugly and securely, and it hasn't moved around at all even during windy days. The adjustable straps and the tabs to have it sit the way you want it to are a big plus, and make it easier to have it set the way you want it too. The 'one size fits most' is a fair descriptor, but it makes up for that small negative with nothing but positives the rest of the way. It's breathable, wide enough to give plenty of sun protection, and everything has a sturdiness to it that makes me comfortable to wear it anywhere for anything! 9.5/10 for everything but the size being perfect!

This hat is exceptional comfortable. It shades well and the mesh and lightweight fabric keep me cool. I really really like the look and feel of this comfy hat. The brim is just the right level os sturdy and flexible. I appreciated the drawstring at a windy day at the beach. The netural color I chose goes well with everything and every occasion I've been outdoors. I have a smaller head and at times find it difficult to get hats to fit, but this one had the right amount of elastic and adjustability that allowed me to get a great fit. I have tried a lot of other hats similar to this that just aren't comfortable or well fitting. I do wish there was an option for a ponytail hole in the back of the hat, but it's a minor desire. I still love this as is and don't plan on ordering any other brands. I've found my hat!

I've never owned this style of hat before, and I was curious to see if it would suit me. I'm happy to say it does! It's exactly what I need. As a new birdwatcher, I've found that using binoculars while wearing a ball cap—my usual headgear—is awkward because the brim inevitably interferes. This soft-brimmed hat solves that problem perfectly.Among the things I appreciate about this hat: first and foremost, it’s very comfortable. The adjustable drawstring allows me to fit it snugly enough to stay put on windy days. I can even ride my bicycle while wearing this hat, and it stays in place. I appreciate that this hat doesn't sacrifice comfort for the sake of utility.I also like the mesh in the crown. I tend to lose a lot of body heat through the top of my head, and compared to a typical ball cap, this hat ventilates very effectively. I haven’t been able to test the mesh's effectiveness against mosquitoes yet, as it's still early in the year, but I seriously doubt any mosquito will manage to fit its wings through the mesh.I think nylon is an excellent material choice for this hat. It’s tough yet comfortable and dries relatively quickly. Additionally, it can be very soft against the skin, as evidenced by the hat’s soft, slightly quilted headband. However, it's important to keep it away from campfire embers; nylon melts very quickly and easily.This hat seems well-constructed and sewn, and I expect it will have a long and happy life out birdwatching and fishing. I see no reason to rate this hat anything less than five stars.

Very impressed with this hat! Well made, and comfortable. Stitching on hat is even and well done. All seams are finished very nicely. Brim has a nice amount of stiffness and stays out for good shading. Soft inner hat band feels soft and fits well. There isn't much stretch in band. Measures about 23". Chin strap slider and back hand adjust tightens fine. Ventilation goes all the way around hat and will be nice when hot. Snaps on each side allow you to snap brim up like a cowboy hat style. I am a bit apprehensive when stating that something is waterproof...I live where the rain sleets down at times and nothing stays dry. I dumped abit of water on brim and then wiped it with my hand and rubbed a bit. Brim stayed dry! Hat is really not made to be a "rainhat" but nice to know it has some capability of shedding some drops.This hat will be a good sun shade hat. It is light weight. The cap style of the hat is a bit shorter than some. Has a low profile on head. Not alot of hat sticking up on top. Good style. We have purchased alot of sun, fishing, shade, rain, hats through the years. This is one of the better ones!
