I bought this because my new car doesn't have a built-in compass. I do a lot of delivery work using my car and I often have trouble instinctively knowing what direction my car is facing when parked. So if I'm parked and pull up Google Maps to give me directions to my next stop and it tells me to "head west," I may not know where west is because I don't know what direction my car is currently facing. I bought this product thinking it would solve my issue only to find out that you're car has to start moving before it can tell you what direction you are facing. Also, if you just started up your car, you may have to wait a good 30 seconds for it to find the satellite signal before it gives you any information. Once you are moving the compass was accurate, but so is the compass on Google Maps. I need to know the direction I'm facing BEFORE I start moving so I don't accidentally head in the wrong direction.I wish the description on the listing had clearly stated this so I would've known ahead of time that this was not the solution I was looking for. I gave 3 stars because the other features seem to work well. If you aren't concerned about this product telling you what direction you are facing before you start moving and the other features could be of use to you, then it might be what you are looking for. As for me, it's getting returned.

I purchased this unit because it can read KmH. It replaced another that only read MpH.It works well.My only beef would be difficulty of seeing the white display in bright daylight. The quirks of living in beautiful Barbados.A good buy,it works well.

I didn’t expect much out of this thinking a 30$ gps probably isn’t very accurate. Plugged it in and started working instantly no set up required. Speed is accurate within 5% I’d say.

Pros:- Low price- Compact- Suction cup mount includes a tacky disk that to improve hold on matte surfaces.- Menu options for brightness control, mph/kph, time, alerts, and calibration.- With a few tweaks of the calibration settings, I was able to get the displayed speed to closely match my Garmin GPS receiver. Default is to display 107% of actual speed. I found it much more accurate at 103%.Cons:- A little hard to read in direct sunlight.- User guide translation to English is awful. Figuring out the calibration took some time. The menu is not intuitive.- Description says it can be used on a motorcycle, but it's not waterproof at all. The setting rocker button is on the top and will let rain in. I mounted it on my motorcycle, but it will have to be protected or removed in wet conditions.- Overall build quality seems low. Not sure how long this will survive on a motorcycle.- Power port is micro USB and seems fragile; USB-C would be better. Also, placement of the power port on the back limits mounting options; I would prefer it to be on the side so that the unit could be mounted directly to the dash without using the budget suction cup mount.Conclusions:Despite the cons, it meets my expectations given its price and where it's made.

I inherited a car a while back which was great, except for one thing...the red on black speedometer is almost impossible to read! Bought this product, installed it easily, and Problem Solved! Its great!

Installed on my custom CT90 motorcycle build. I modified the USB connection to allow flat mounting, but it works well and can be read even in bright light.
