Where has this been all my life?! I frequently use garden hose splitters. Every 2-way splitter I've ever owned has been of the inverted "Y" shaped variety. Two problems with these: 1) The hoses come out at an angle, and tend to kink as they hang down; and 2) They have these tiny little levers which are incredibly difficult to turn. This splitter solves both problems! First, the inverted "U" shape allows the hoses to hang straight down, eliminating the kinking problem. Second, this splitter has nice long levers which are MUCH easier to turn on and off. This is a great solution! I will never buy another "Y" shaped splitter again. Highly recommend!!!

This Brass Garden Hose Splitter, 2 Way Heavy DutyBrass Garden Hose was surprisingly fragile.It's quite heavy and seems to be made of metal, but it actually came cracked. One of the levels to turn it off and on was cracked, and it leaks from it.What's the point of making something that seems quite durable but actually easily breaks?Not recommended.

This is the perfect solution for my husband’s spring time yard work that he really enjoys. He applies various fertilizers to the lawn and always wants to water the yard but struggles with too many hoses and not enough spigots. This is the perfect solution for his watering needs. Simply screws into the existing faucet and voila, now it’s two and has no leaks. Took less than five minutes to install on our outdoor faucet and works great!

This hose splitter is made of solid brass, lighter than commercial grade but still good stuff. The package even includes extra rubber washers and silicone thread tape to ensure that there won't be any leaks.Each of the two splitter outlets has its own on-off valve. The primary use of a splitter like this, is so you can run an irrigation system on a timer arrangement while still having the ability to use a handheld sprayer hose that you want to turn on and off as needed. And, this item excels at that task.Note that you still only have one water input, so if you are using both outputs at the same time, the pressure will likely drop somewhat. However, because the individual valves that control each output are ball-type valves, they will not themselves restrict the flow needlessly.Both outputs are very widely spaced, so that you should not run into problems with adjacent host connections binding each other while you're screwing them on. The valve switches are also extra large and easy to manipulate - I didn't have any trouble grabbing and turning them, even while wearing work gloves.This is an good quality splitter that should last a long time as long as it doesn't freeze.
