These are actually brass hose splitters and the shut off valve works well on them. I had a "brass" splitter on my faucet last season and it turned out to be an aluminum one with a brass plating I think. Looked like brass but wasn't. My faucets are actual brass and the old splitter fused to the faucet. it was tough to get off at the end of the season and by then, had started leaking.Not these, they are solid and well-made. I filed the side of one splitter and it's really brass. I can recommend these hose splitters.

Beware - some cheaper Y splitters are actually made of aluminum painted yellow, so that it looked like brass. I once bought that kind, and it did not last even one season.These splitters are good. There is nothing that is particularly good or bad about them, but they are hefty, so definitely not made of aluminum - these are actual brass splitters, and they should last.

Much better quality than the plastic ones available in most hardware stores. The control valve levers are easy to operate. No leaks.

Fair price and value. Two days shipping and what was described is right. Easy to use but I don’t know how long it will last. Some parts are plastic and the rest is bronze.

There isn’t too much to say about this. Honestly, it was a free item from the seller with another purchase I made. But this thing is simple and works. It seems to be made from sturdy brass, so it should last quite a while.

Minor issue with the orientation of the individual outlet controls, as one control lever almost touches the base of the other making it a little bit difficult to change the setting due to the close proximity.
