This is a very nice stool or kneeler to use out in the garden. It's pretty easy to put together and the padding is comfortable, and the whole thing is collapsable for easy storage. The big problem I have with this, is they claim 400lb weight limit and I can almost guarantee you that's an untested false claim. I'm only 240lb and sitting on this felt like the bolts were going to sheer and the legs were going to collapse. I was sitting on it on laminate floor to test and the legs were sliding outwards and it felt very unsteady. If used in the garden where the legs sink into the ground and can't slide out, it's likely a lot sturdier, but still down to the sheering strength of the small bolts that hold it together. I would estimate the actual max weight to be in the 250-300lb range.

My wife and I already have two stools similar to this one, however, they aren't nearly the quality of this stool. This one has a much thicker pad also, thus making it more comfortable on the knees. We rarely use our stools for siting, mostly used on our knees, leaning over doing some kind of work in the garden or flower beds. It opens up very easily and closes up nicely to take up less room for storage. Perhaps what I like the best is when you want to get up from the kneeling position, the two legs can be used to help push yourself up. The metal framework of the stool is very sturdy and should hold almost anyone. This stool is of such good quality, it should last for years.

This heavy duty, smart looking garden kneeler is painted all shiny blue and green and comes with a bright blue seat for making working in the garden more enjoyable. Use the seat to protect the knees when gardening calls for kneeling or as a garden bench for sitting while trimming large plants and bushes or just resting.Made of thick, round-shaped, steel tubing, the kneeler is strong and sturdy enough to last for years. And, with care, so should the durable, water and tear resistant EVA fabric covered seat and included tool bag with two large pockets for gardening tools and gloves. This Garden kneeler is very attractive and is obviously made of high grade materials. This item will need to be assembled. It arrives in 8 main pieces. Also included are 2 wrenches, 4 screws, 4 gaskets and 4 nuts. And a few words of instruction.I am sincerely sorry to have to give a very fine product only 2 stars but I can’t recommend that anyone go through the frustration I went through while trying to put this item together.

There is some assembly required. See the pictures showing the instruction sheet. I left the zip ties on until I was finished assembling the garden kneeler, and that is why I showed them in the first picture. They must be removed in order for the legs to lock into place, so don't forget to remove them. This garden kneeler is very comfortable. I had no problems sitting on it and getting up, nor was there an issue when kneeling on it.The padding is dense, which is good as the person sitting or kneeling won't sink into it, which could cause issues with the legs hitting the frame where the foam cushions are. My garden kneeler has a little wobble to it, but it doesn't imped using it in any way.The included tool pouch has a durable feeling to it, and any soil stains should easily wipe off. It can be used when using the garden kneeler as a seat or as a kneeler. In conclusion, this is a very nice seat and kneeler, and it folds up pretty flat and isn't heavy, so opening/closing and carrying it shouldn't be a problem for most people. One thing I discovered after I folded it and picked it up, it is best to hold both legs and carry the whole thing from the side because while the legs do lock into place while they are opened when they are folded they do not lock into place.

I very much like this gardening bench because it is strong enough to support me (around 230 lbs) when needed and is easy to fold up and hide out of site when I'm not using it. It's lightweight but strong. I've used it on concrete, packed soil, in newly turned soil, and also in a mole-riddled yard. The only area where it sank down was in the mole-infested area but everything sinks in there so I'm not surprised. It does require a little assembly (4 bolts) and has a spring action that allows the legs to fold up under the seat/knee pad. The instructions were a little difficult to follow but it can only go together one way so it wasn't difficult to eyeball and figure out. It comes with a canvas-like pouch that hangs on one side but I haven't really used that and it will blow off anyway if you're working out in a strong wind. The pad is firm but much more comfortable than the ground and it's much easier for an older person like me to stand up from. I have seen no issues with bolts straining or the stool creaking. I'll be happy if I get several seasons wear out of this.Conserve your energy from getting up off the ground and opt for this instead. I recommend it to anyone who wants a lightweight gardening stool option.

The product quality seems good, it seems to easily handle my weight (240lbs). I had been concerned that it might be too flimsy to be useful for me; however, that is not the case. The padding is thick and provides a comfortable cushioning when kneeling or sitting. It's nice that it folds up (easily) to save space when storing. The included tool bag is a nice addition.Even though I know my way around tools and assembling things (I'm a former auto mechanic), I found that putting the product together wasn't quite as easy as I'd like in order to award a 5-star rating. I found using the supplied tools a bit cumbersome so switched out for a different tool to make things easier (box wrench instead of open ended).Assembly is certainly possible using the included tools and instructions, it's just that it might be a bit easier with some better instructions and different type of tool.I do recommend the product even though I might sound negative given my above assembly comments.
