I love this! It's heavy and sturdy! I can feel very confident that I will get up safely from kneeling, this welded crossbar design isn't going to collapse under weight and pushing like some of those flimsy hollow pipe stools. I'm tempted to order another for indoors, this would be a great help for getting up off the floor as well as a handy extra stool.

Quality is good, very sturdy and easy to use--from sitting to kneeling. It folds and stores easily. Price points were better than similar products on website.

Perfect and great deal. I use it at home too as a stool. Strong and well made.

I bought this for my mom but find myself using it all the time now. It's really simple to switch to a seat or kneeler, and the small tool pouch is great for trowels, snips, and extra gloves. It also folds flat, which is great because I detest bulky things. I would suggest this to anyone with knees or anyone who would like to have healthy knees for many years to come.

To be clear, this isn't one of those benches where you can adjust the height of the cushion. The seat is basically just padded on both sides so you can flip it over when you want to kneel. The problem with the kneeling position is that the support legs kind of get in the way of the arms, so your range of motion is rather limited. I've already hit my elbows on them a couple of times; and since they're made of heavy metal, it kinda trumps bone if you know what I mean. Ouchie.Otherwise, the only other downside is that the springs are exposed on both sides of the seat since it's so narrow. The best thing to do is to cover up the entire top side with some sort of towel, cloth or blanket, because if you're working with tools they can easily fall through the cracks. The cushions themselves are also made of rather dense and stiff foam so the comfort is almost at the level of a wooden bench. It's easier on the knees than any hard surface though, so I'll take it over concrete or dirt any day. Cleaner too.As for the folding mechanism, one of the legs folds out and locks into position just fine, while the other requires that I pull the spring lever in for it to pass the point where it catches. Once both lock into place though, they're incredibly secure. You need to pull the levers in on both sides in order to fold them back up though. Fortunately the springs are nice and sturdy and the entire bench is made of a durable metal so it easily gets 5 stars for build quality. Not sure how well it'll resist rust over time, so I just store mine in the garage in the meantime. The cushions won't absorb water though so you can easily leave it outside for a few weeks without issue.Overall though, I'll admit that it's a bit pricey for the meager amount of stiff cushioning you get on both sides of the seat. I can't deny the decent portability once it's folded up and the build could probably withstand a good 20 ft drop; but the way the support legs get in the way of reaching to the sides while kneeling can be a bit annoying. The plus is that it could potentially double as a high step stool for reaching things in the garage. The base is definitely narrower than a regular step so you'll need to be cautious, but it could easily support the weight. For me, the build is the biggest pro. 4.25/5 stars.

It was difficult to get one leg to open. When it did, I got resistance and a kickback to my lip. Kinda funny but my lip still hurts!

The stool comes folded, with a cloth tool bag. There are no instructions included. This is a fully metal stool and it is heavy. There are cushions on the top and bottom of the shelf, so upright it makes a comfortable seat, and turned upside down it’s a kneeling pad. The listing explains that you need to grip side bars in order to fold and unfold the stool. From the folded position, start unfolding one leg until it stops moving, then pull down the side bar to continue. There are metal slots for the bars to fit into before you release the bar and do the second leg. This takes some grip strength to do. The coating on my bars and the slots started flaking off as I practiced folding the legs. The stool is fairly wide when it’s folded up.The seat is high and comfortable. I was able to set up containers with soil comfortably while using it. The seat is wide and very stable. The tool bag is well made of a thick canvas. There are 4 pockets, two thin and two wide. The top has a pocket that slips over the leg of the stool, putting the tools in easy reach.Flipped over, the kneeling pad is an inch or so off the ground, so the seat doesn’t get dirty when you’re using it. It’s comfortable to use, though depending on how your garden beds are set up, you may need to compensate for the raised pad by leaning forward more. I used it to do a bit of weeding and it felt great to kneel rather than crouching the whole time like I usually do.This is a solidly built folding stool. It’s comfortable to use, comes with a great accessory tool bag, and is well made. If you have trouble lifting heavy objects or poor grip strength it may be harder for you to use. But if you don’t, this is a great stool.

It is a heavy duty bench... it will hold someone up to 350 lbs. no problem. The pad is thick both sides. It is the kind of pad that you buy at dollar stores in form of puzzle pieces that you put together but much thicker. So although it's kind of "cushiony" it is not of the most comfortable... it is good enough though for when in the garden (I would not stay seated on it more than 1 hour). When Folding it it is a little "hard" so unless you want to store it you don't need to fold it. Anyway just reverse it if you want to kneel down as another cushion is underneath. Also when unfolded one side seems more at angle but the feet are still flat on the ground. I'm guessing it is made like that so that sides fold over the other one.Excellent buy.

This is great for yardwork, kneeling in the garden, or even sitting by a campfire! It’s easy to set up and folds up nicely, so it doesn’t take up too much space. It’s very heavy, as the frame is metal. No instructions come in the box however it’s fairly easy to set up. TIP: When opening the legs, to get them in proper position and secure in place, you’re going to need to grab the spring loaded bar at the base of the leg to unlock the pin to allow the leg to open completely. The foam is attached to both the top and the bottom of the seat, so there’s no need to transfer it from one side to the other. It’s thick, firm & comfortable for its purpose. The side pocket/pouch has a little flap on the back, and you simply position that over the top part of the frame. Easy peazy! This is going to be super handy, especially because it’s collapsible and can be put away or brought out easily & quickly. I can’t wait for garden season this year!

I bought this as a gift. It arrived on time but there is nothing in the box besides the parts. No picture or instructions on what it should look like. Also the pocket stitching was ripped out.

I am not really old at 60 but I have been broken up pretty bad from an accident some years back. One result of that is that I have trouble getting up off of the floor if I kneel down. Having something to push against like a five gallon bucket, a chair or a helping hand from a nearby friend is a huge help sometimes. This padded stool solves that issue completely. The first thing I noticed about it was that it was heavier than I had anticipated it being. That tells me it has some serious steel construction. Nothing lightweight about this construction at all. The result is that the legs are just the perfect push bar that is steady as a rock. The 3/4” pads are on the top and bottom and are made of some super dense rubber like material that has a grid pattern on the surface. I weigh about 210 and it hardly even dents when I kneel down on it but is soft enough that it is comfortable. When it is flipped over the top pad does not contact the ground with the way the legs are designed so that nice it won’t get dirty like the just plain kneeling pads do. The height of it when the top is up is just perfect for me to sit comfortably on and work on task that are in the two to four foot range of height from the ground. Again, it’s super steady in this orientation as well. When I first received this Stool/ kneeling pad the legs were really stiff and the locking bars were hard to move. I believe it was they were built to a tight tolerance allowing for motion, sans the paint, which looks good by the way. When they were painted and then riveted on it just makes it tight. No worries, just grab your favorite lube and hit all of the motion points and problem solved. My go to is Balistol and it worked great. Legs fold up nice and smooth now. When folded the unit is nice and flat making for easy storage. There is a tool bag/ organizer that has several slots for tools that saddles one side of the legs. It can be used on either side and is fabric that is sewn. Mine looked good and I keep it with the stool but have not had any use for it as of yet.For around $50.00 this stool represents a good value when compared to others that are currently available. One thing this one has going for it is robustness of build. This one is built of steel tubing that is welded up nicely. It might weigh a little more than some of its competitors but with that weight comes stability and strength. This stool will last forever as long as it’s not scraped up and left outside to rust away. If you are a buy one and be done kind of person, this is the one to buy.

This is one heavy duty folding garden stool/seat. I wanted something that would be sturdy and steady but had no idea something designed for a 350 lb weight capacity would be so heavy and sturdy. My other stools/seats are considerable lighter weight, but this one will stay wherever I set it down and that was my goal. It has some resistance when opening the legs out, but once in place, they stay. I like that it has a little side tool bag like my other two stools. The tool bag is so essential when moving about and working in garden beds. Overall, this is a substantial stool that my husband and I may end up fighting over who gets to use it.
