Planting Instructions:

  1. PRODUCT NOTE: Fruit bare roots for planting may seem lifeless, but they're actually just dormant, conserving energy to survive harsh conditions like winter.
  2. Planting Time: Spring
  3. Plant blueberries in early spring after the ground has thawed and there is no longer danger of frost.
  4. Choose a location with well-drained soil that receives full sun. Loosen soil prior to planting.
  5. Remove plant from packaging and lightly loosen the bottom of the root ball to release the roots. Dig a hole in loosened soil as deep as the roots and about twice as wide. Be sure the hole is large enough to encompass the roots without bending them.
  6. Place plant in hole with the roots down and the crown/top of the roots about 1" below soil surface. Space plants 4’ apart in rows 10’ apart.
  7. Cover with soil and water well so that the soil settles. Keep soil moist during periods of dry weather but do not overwater.
  8. Bloom Time: 1 Year in Summer

Successful Planting Tip: Blueberry plants will produce a small amount of fruit after being planted, with more plentiful crops occurring on plants that are 2-4 years old. They are self-pollinating, but will yield larger crops if cross pollinated with another variety.

Got my blueberry plants in good time and each plant had 2 shoots but one was broken off (it happens). I planted it anyway hope it will still go and make berries in a few years.

Received two blueberry clippings. They were packaged well. Both were planted and watered. Unfortunately neither one grew. I would not purchase again.

Two plants in one package but one was broken. I planted anyway just to wait and see. Now more than two weeks passed, one didn’t survive. Called Customer Service, hoping to receive a replacement. This is very special to me and I have to make it work. My Neo went to heaven. While on earth, blueberries were one of his favorite fruits. 💖 💞💖Another reason why I chose this particular species, is because it’s local(from NJ), I’m in New York. I guess the chances for raising a healthy plant would be greater.

A little smaller than expected but all of the sparse branches were healthy with new growth. Packaged very well. I’m curious how they’ll do this summer!
