Yellow Vent Caps with RETAINING LIP to prevent from popping out of your can. Easy to install,drill required.Start with an empty can, Drill 3/8" hole at the back of your plastic can above the fill line, insert vent cap and pop it in gently with a rubber mallet.We suggest you drill a smaller hole to start with and work your way up to the 3/8" drill bit. Be sure to drill a straight clean hole don't swagger side to side with the bit so you won't make a bigger hole than you need.
Fitment: Fit for plastic can like 1 gal 2.5 gal 5 gallon etc.

These are loose fit cap and leak on Mid West 5 gallon gas cans. Why can't they make the spout part of the cap instead everything is being loose pieces?

Cap was too deep and would not seal, even with gasket added and screwed down until it bottomed out. Tried to pour and it leaked all over my mower AND my shoe.

These are a great fit. Much better than the ones out today. They have too many moving parts.

I bought this one because it said it fits Pre 2009 cans. No where close, both caps that come with it were to small. don't waste your money.

You can see the split in the yellow cap. This did NOT last even 2 months.There is NO way to contact seller.DO NOT BUY! TOTAL GARBAGE

I wanted a spout without the safety features. This covers that. The two screw caps included did not fit my gas tank or either of the two new tanks I ordered. I was able to use the spout with the existing screw cap on my tank, so it worked out okay. Just not sure why neither of the included ones fit any other tanks.
