While this product does blend a little better over tights than traditional pointe shoe elastic, it doesn't disappear enough for me to want to buy it again. It was a bit difficult to sew on (it's not solid, almost like lace, so you kind of have to weave it in) and one shoe unraveled during a rehearsal. It doesn't feel as secure as regular elastic, either. Once it's on you can hardly tell it's there, which may or may not be a bad thing, depending on the dancer.Basically, if you've got mad sewing skills and your shoes don't pull much when you roll through demi pointe, you might be happy with this airy elastic. But if you want to just slap your stuff on and be able to feel your shoes pulled solid against your feet every time you dance, you may want to stick with the sturdier stuff.

My daughter uses it to hold the heel on. Not anything else.
