It was a one to one match to the existing capacitor from the same company with the same part number

Purchased this to replace an exact same coded one on the home HVAC. First one lasted about 2 years and the second one is currently working. Great to have a spare on hand and a lot cheaper than having the HVAC tech show up. You must have some knowledge of electrical systems though and turn off all the power before replacing. Still be careful of shock hazards always.

This was OEM part number replacement for my Trane Furnace and AC unit. Not sure if it was the spider nest that shorted it or the old capacitor that failed. Either way the old top plastic cones was pretty melted with burnt wire connectors. With cutting down to new wire and new ends, this replacement capacitor saved the day and got the outside AC unit back up and running. Amazon did have cheaper brands for about half the price of this one, but decided to go with the exact replacement and it was still 1/3 rd the price then the same capacitor at a local repair supply shop.

My AC broke and I had a repair guy come out to tell me that the capacitor had gone bad. He wanted to charge me $480 to replace it. I got a second opinion and that company wanted $375. Well after watching a video online I did it myself for less than $20. AC has been blowing cold ever since. I highly recommend. Doing it yourself is very easy. I am a guy who has never messed with any wiring and I figured it out, so you can too.

My neighbor was out of town and his AC went out. He called me and asked me to check it out for his wife. She kept calling him on his fishing trip complaining. After some safe diagnosis I found out the fan wasn't going on the condenser, compressor was good though. Trouble shot it a little more and found out the 5 on the 55/5 side of the dual capacitor was kaput. Offered to replace it for just the cost of parts.. cause you got to look out for each other right. We got the AC going again and she no longer had to call him! He was very happy and tipped me nicely when he got home. The capacitor was a like for like replacement. I matched serial numbers and this was the same as the one I took out. Way cheaper than any HVAC company would of charged. One note, DO NOT work on an AC unless you take precautions and know how to work around electricity. There are a lot of sparky bits that could hurt you. Leave it to a professional.

Fast Delivery, exact replacement part! Pay attention to the connections as I accidentally crossed 2 wires, and the fan was operating in reverse! After studying the Schematic diagram, I found my mistake, corrected the wiring, made my AC work again!!Update/edit: Aug, 2024 - this Product lasted approximately 4 years before it went out again.. but I bought another one, and My AC is cooling once again!! might want to consider keeping one on hand, just in case it goes out again!
