My husband works in construction and says that these helmets are not required by osha, so he has 2 of them.We got one for him and 1 for him to give away to Smith and he works with.They fit nicely and we don't have any complaints to say about them

Lots of airflow, stays cool in hot weather. Clearly labelled for ANSI compliance. The KOROYD material used inside does not trap sweat or moisture, but may need to be cleaned of small debris periodically. The suspension has foam padding that adds comfort, this is needed because the KOROYD is rigid and scratchy feeling.There are portions of KOROYD without foam padding, these may be slightly uncomfortable for some, depending on head size/shape. Taking an impact at one of the locations without foam may be problematic as well, this has yet to be determined. More foam could have solved this, but may have decreased airflow. If cooling/airflow are the priority, this is a solid choice. For maximum comfort and padding, there are better options.GE shows accessories such as several visors and hearing protection options being made to fit this hat, but at the time of this review, it was difficult to find any for sale. This may be due to the product still being new. Hopefully, the accessories will be available in the near future.

This hard hat works great for allowing heat to escape and keep your head cool while in the field. It works as I hoped it to, and would save your head from some pretty reasonable impacts

Fits nice and secure, ultra-light weight while also protective. Good for work where head protection is a must. Makes a good helmet for doing search and rescue or tree work. Protects your head and also allows you to hear.

This helmet is fantastic, especially for those of us that live in super hot climates. I already owned three other safety helmets, and this one outshines them all. It is SO comfortable I forget I have it on. It is - airy? I have super thick hair and with previous helmets I always felt like my head was BAKING. With this one I don't even notice it. It is superior to any other model I've tried. I am using it only casual projects, not all-day wear, but I love it and am hoping GE will take a design like this and apply it to bicycle helmets too. If all bicycle helmets were this comfortable maybe people would wear them more.

All-in-all, a wonderful safety helmet. It does the job of moderate impact protection and is discreet as a hardhat can be.The Koroyd tech looks like a massive amount of cocktail straws glued side by side then sliced into half-inch panels. It kinda feels that way also. They are very rigid but evidently crumple down quite a bit when impacted. Thankfully the padding around (and on top of) the head provides decent comfort. Although one area, in back of my head and towards the top, is making period contact with the harder material. This may ultimately become an irritation over time.The adjustment ratchet on the backend is effortless to crank and effectively cradles my head with minimal wiggle.The airflow is outstanding for a safety helmet. When I stand in front of a fan, I can feel the warm air vent.I like the eggshell white color as well. It is still highly visible without being overly glossy and obnoxious.
