If you plan on buying this for the purpose of sitting on a shelf... then yes, buy away. But if you plan on letting a kid play with it, look elsewhere. THe tracks area a joke and fall off if you look at them the wrong way. The little cables that run up and down the arm will snap almost immediately. The body of the excavator is surprizingly sturdy and made of metal.But if you have a kid that wants to use this as a toy be prepared for it to break.Update: 3 days in and the plastic piece holding the boom arm in place broke. Total junk.

The drill on this is super hard and sturdy! However, all the wires and tracks break and fall off all the time. Wish it was made a little better

This thing was awesome. Kid absolutely loved it for his birthday and hands down the favorite gift. My husband was blown away how cool this was. Jackhammer attachment that works?!? What?!?3 weeks later and yesterday it started to glitch and now it won’t turn on. Now I have a sad child and I’m bitter.

Not durable Bought it for my 5 yr old grandson. Parts on it broke in a half hour of play. Box says 8 + for age. Online says 3+. Nice toy for an older child

The product is great, probably not for a 7 year old to play with. The customer service sent me out a brand new toy for my kid, and refunded me because of my issues! Great service, the trucks are identical to the real machines, they are all metal and are functioning properly. But, for a young kid to play with , might not be the best present .. until they get older that is.

This was a Christmas gift for our grandson and he loved it. It is "real" as far as he is concerned. A great amount of pretend street has been smashed so he can resurface it!

I purchased this for my young son. It's a great little model, realistic with plenty of detail, and he loves it. A heads up that it may be better suited for older kids because of the delicate rubber hoses. My kiddo tore them on day one. He doesn't care and still plays with it daily, it's just that I thought other parents should know when deciding if it's a good pick for their younger kids.Definitely a really nice model.
