This dust cover will likely succeed in keeping dust off of part of a guitar. A mounted in the picture I've included, that means the back of the guitar and the sides/top. If you want to keep the dust off the front/bridge as well, you either need to install this backwards (if you will) or buy two of them to cover both front and back. (Hence my 4 stars instead of 5.) These are not padded and won't provide much protection against nasty bumps, but might prevent some scratches. It is advertised as fitting electric guitars and, yeah, this wouldn't fit around a typical acoustic ax. But it does fit OK on the acoustic/electric (thin body) 12-string guitar you see in the picture.

The Premium Black Dust Cover for Acoustic and Bass Guitars is soft and protects the instrument’s finish. Although it is advertised as fitting both acoustic and solid body guitars, it fits my Gibson Les Paul solid body electric much better. An inexpensive method for protecting your guitar.
