TTL mode does not work with a 580exii or 430exii. it triggers the flash to fire but doesn't communicate any exposure information, so the shot is always under or over exposed by 2-3 stops. flash exposure lock and exposure compensation also fail. high speed sync allows the camera to use faster shutter speeds but the flash will not sync to them, leaving half the shot in darkness.godox support is terrible. the firmware update tool for the x1r-c receivers only runs on windows, and only if you disable secureboot and driver signature checking to install godox's unsigned drivers. (you won't find out about disabling them until you search for forum posts about the "connection failed" issue) the latest firmware listed on their website is v18 from 2018, but the receivers themselves are running v26U which is nowhere to be found. the manual is poorly translated and does not address any of the non-working functions.this is with a 5Dmk2, 580EXii and 430EXii, all supported models for this kit according to godox. these are some of the most common canon flashes and body, there is no excuse for godox not testing their products with them. the automatic functions that don't work are the primary selling points of this product, there is no reason to buy it if it's only going to work in Manual mode.
