The two stars aren't for the quality. Its actually a nice instrument. However, Its not for me and unlike other purchases, the return process is quite a hassle. (paying prime membership.....why?) I suppose I'll try some different string, tuning options but it will probably just wind up in the "pile"

Nice tenor banjo: good tone and great neck. Tuning DGBE (Chicago tuning) using D'addario EJ63 tenor strings (9.16.23w.30w). Had to re-do the nut slots: the strings were too near the edge. Now it's great!
