I add a small scoop to all my dogs means for a bit more fiber and seems to help support sensitive tummies.

We have bought a lot of grandma Lucy freeze dried products for our dogs through the years and when I saw this I had to buy some. When our dogs have any kind of gastrointestinal upset we usually make rice and add cooked chicken or ground beef and that’s what they eat for a few days. The convenience of having these packages on hand is wonderful because it gives me time to get to the store to purchase the items I need to cook for our sick dog. They gobble it down so it must taste good. Yes it’s a little pricey for what it is but convenience does usually come with a higher price tag. Worth it to me

It's a really good alternative although I prefer the recovery brand instead since I get more for my money. But they (recovery brand) don't list ingredients, even if it is just two so I was happy this one did.

As our dogs get older their stomachs cannot handle the plethera of ingredients found in kibble and canned food. I found myself researching how to make dog food, and then boiling chicken, cooking rice and other whole foods, taking a great deal of time, energy and money, all the while, wondering if they had the nutrients they needed. Then I stumbled upon the freeze dried versions of dog food. And, then this simple recipe. Benefits include:SIMPLE INGREDIENTS: Easy to digest. Great way to get your dogs digetive system back on track and stay on track.STORAGE: Easy to store anywhere. Live on a boat, in a car, a van. This takes up little space with a long shelf life. You can store this anywhere and prepare when needed.YUMMY: My dogs love this food. This has been my go to when my dogs have been sick, as they have gotten older and have become picky. We used this for a friend's dog with massive digestive problems, who after one week on this regimen this little guy was able to begin to heal and return to the happy little guy he once was.GREAT TO MIX WITH YOUR FOOD: We mix this with Grandma Lucy's Chicken Recipe Artisan Freeze Dried Food for a complete healthy meal, now. We do sprinkle some physillium husks and fresh shredded boiled chicken breast on top. The broth from boiling the chicken was saved in the form of ice cubes and added to the food and as a treat. For those dogs who you are having trouble drinking water, you can add the broth to the dog food mix. They will lap it up.PRICE: Super affordable, all can be used. No waste.RECOMMENDATIONS: Would love to be able to order this in larger quantities. With multiple dogs these little bags don't last long. Remember, we mix this with Grandma Lucy's Chicken Recipt Artisan Freeze Dried Dog Food.

It's exactly what it says it is: a temporary bland diet for dogs. Ingredients are simple, and I like that there's pumpkin in it. It definitely helps my dogs transition when they are idiots and eat something they shouldn't and have diarrhea. My dogs are small, (and luckily, only one of them needs it at any given time, though I do use it as a topper for one, who can be picky) and I have a food scale, so I split the pack in thirds and do one cup of hot water. If you split it like I do, just make sure to shake the bag sideways so there's an even distribution of the ingredients. It's super simple with the food scale and electric kettle. That third of a bag gives me enough for breakfast and dinner for one of my small dogs. While it IS ready, technically, in ten minutes, it's definitely better to let it sit longer so the rice absorbs most of the water. (And it's usually too hot to eat at ten minutes anyway.) I find it best to make it first thing in the morning and then get my other chores out of the way before going back and serving it.The big thing to remember, though, is that this is for temporary feeding only, just for the occasional belly upset. If you want to use it longer term, you'll need to mix it with an AAFCO approved dog food so that your dog can get the vitamins and minerals they need. This can be done in increments, until you're just using this as a topper. The only downside to this is the price, honestly. But as it's temporary use, it's not too bad. It's always a good idea to keep one in the cupboard, just in case. I've ordered it quite a few times now, and I'm pleased to say the quality has been consistent with every bag.

My pups were sick and needed a bland diet. I usually buy another brand, but came across Grandma Lucy’s and thought I’d give it a try. What I love about Grandma Lucy’s is it has TWO ingredients. That’s it! What my dogs love about it is the taste - even my pickiest eater! It smells delicious, like it’s homemade! There’s loads of chicken in each packet. And, it’s relatively inexpensive for how wonderful this product is - definitely going to always have this in the patty. Amazing!!!

Dog would not eat it, chicken chunks too big for little mouths, not a lot of chicken.
