This is my bunny's favourite thing ever. She uses it as her hiding place.

My grandbunny loved this Christmas gift. So nice to get many things with one purchase. He is extremely spoiled but enjoyed this bc he stays over the holidays.

Our rabbit isn't too interested and I don't like the fact you have to sew it together

The product came withNO instructions on how to put it together. The product comes with 10 sticks, yarn and needles to put it together. But with NO instructions on putting the product together, it's useless.

I was really surprised by this in a positive way! Don't be put off by its "rustic" appearance -- it looks that way because it is made from rodent appropriate, safe, natural materials. Everything had very clean, natural smells right from the bag. No chemical odors. The frame the grass is woven on is made from slats of real wood. No particle board anywhere!!It doesn't take long to "sew" it together, it really doesn't need to look stellar for your little friend to enjoy it. If you've got a really hands on kind of kid I think it would be really fun for a kid like 8ish years old or older to do this part and feel like they were "making it themselves". It comes with everything you need. Just make sure to remove the silicate packets from all the different bags everything is in.The only reason it has one star removed is the glue that the little carrot and corn toys were assembled with. It looked very plastic-y, like a PVA glue instead of something like a hide-based or starch-based glue that would be safest for consumption. The luffa slices and the apple twigs pass all my scrutiny though and were given to my "totoros" (chinchillas) along with the house. My little pals loved it right away and began nibbling and exploring. It is certainly large enough for them or a guinea pig but if you had a larger rabbit it might be more suitable to keep it as a flat mat.I know the grass house won't last forever but it's really not meant to. The stimulation and the benefit for their teeth is the ability for them to completely and safely consume it. For the price I think you certainly get your money's worth. Finding safe and cost effective enrichment for pocket pets is so difficult these days. My standards are high and I would order from this company again.

So at this point in my guinea pig journey I've ordered these grass houses from 3 different companies. I appreciated that these are wooden frame instead of metal framed, safer for their teeth. I also appreciated the little extras. First there was a set of two plastic needles for threading the hemp used to sew the house together. Which is so necessary to the process. Otherwise it takes like 3 times as long. I can't believc that's not standard practice. I also liked the little extras - there were loofah toys and two rope toys as well. I declined to use the rope toys shaped like carrot and corn pieces only becaus ethere was a bit of glue used and that didn't feel safe. They also included a small pouch of about 2 dozen twigs/ sticks (apple /willow tree twigs?) and my piggies love those. All in all a great deal and would order from this company again.
