The secret is to apply thin coats! Then apply UV and it dries hard. If you go too thick it will only harden the surface and it will stay gummy underneath, very important! I mask the sides of the track or burn to be repaired on the damaged PCB to give it a nicer, more professional look in my opinion. I store in a cool, dark, dry spot, as long as you keep it capped it keeps pretty well. Great buy.

To have a reasonable cure time you really need to control the thickness during application. I applied the resin with a piece of silkscreen fabric and a plastic squeegee. Five minutes under a UV nail polish curing lamp resulted in a complete cure. The photo is literally my first attempt— looks good enough for my purposes! The curing lamp I used was the ‘SUNUV SUN3 Professional’ which output both ~360nm and ~400nm light when I measured it, so that might be more effective than the lower cost ‘purple’ ~400nm only types.

This kit provides two 10 mL vials for my spot repairs of circuit boards. This kit does not include a UV curing light. I found and purchased a popular Darkbeam mini 395nm UV flashlight. This BEEYUIHF curing mask oil is thick, dark green, and cured hard. The distribution is from the syringe vials. The plunger side already has a plug and a removable cover. I just removed the cover and used the included plugers to push the plug. In that way, I could remove the plunger and put the cap back on. The tip cover unscrews and you screw in the supplied tips. You can unscrew the tips and put the tip covers back on. The kit included four tips. For big applications, the brushes and the supplied tips will help. I might look for compatible fine tips for delicate work. This masking oil worked great. Use thin coats. Aside from the UV light I had everything to start using it immediately and store the rest for later use. It is thick which I didn't mind as a thin coat won't run. It hardened quickly and did its job as an insulating layer.

This is fairly thick, and the color prevents the UV from curing it all the way through if it is not spread thin with a brush. You need to spread it out until it is so thin it is transparent to get it to cure all the way through.I put a drop on a scrap board and let it self level for several min. The drop only spread out until it was about 3 times as wide as it was tall.I tried to cure it with a high output UV flashlight, and a UV curing lamp with 100 UV LED's.It was left exposed to the flashlight for around 5 min., and exposed to the UV curing lamp for about 20, and only the very top layer cured. The blob on the board was still liquid underneath when I pressed on it.After popping off the top layer that had hardened, I spread the rest out until it was thin, and tried again. It cured all the way through this time.If spread thin with a brush, it will cure hard all the way through. If you need it thicker, you will need to make multiple thin layers. This isn't too bad to do as it cures hard under the curing lamp after only about 30 seconds when it is spread thin.

If you try your hand at PCB repairs, sooner or later you'll run into problems with pads and leads that require more advanced level skills and might very well lead to a case where you have to overlay some of the parts you had to work on or replace. That's where this kind of product comes into play and you'll be glad to have a kit like this on hand rather than having to order and wait for delivery. In testing this kit out I found it works similar to other kits of the same kind. There are tons of kits like this as well as just the ink by itself. I suggest just shop a bit to find the best deal and mix of kit that suits your need. The main thing this kit lacks is a UV curing light. That is more of a one-time purchase, so not every kit will have one, but if you do not have one, either order separately or get one of the kits that include one.I also strongly suggest watching some YouTube videos on how to use this kind of ink, as there are tricks to getting perfect results, such as how thick to lay the ink on and how to use the UV light, etc.

this does fine at with thin coats, it insulates as expected, however it does not cure fast with UV when the paste is above .3-.2mm thick, meaning its not viable to secure jumper wire to pcb. It might be different if it were clear but the lower layer remains liquid.Use as solder mask, but use CA glue to secure jumper wire.

I gave this a try for a few board level repairs and it's worked good so far. I don't do this kind of work often but being able to have another tool in my toolkit to help, makes it that much better.
