Reçu en très bon état; les picks up semblent peu distinctifs

I’ve owned and played dozens of guitars and basses over the course of 35 yrs plus, and this Gretsch G5425 has to be one the best I’ve ever played at any price point. I received my guitar factory fresh in the box, took it out, tuned it up and it was ready to go. The fit and finish are perfect and no sharp frets or cheap hardware to be found. Intonation is spot-on up and down the neck. It sounds great clean, with a bluesy overdrive, or full on distortion. The pickups are very well balanced with a selection of beautiful, usable tones to dial in with the 3-way pickup selector and volume/tone knobs. The slightly shorter scale and flatter fretboard radius makes playing a breeze.I highly recommend this guitar for any player, whether a beginner or pro. At this price point, there are few rivals— the Squier Classic Vibe series comes to mind— but beyond that, one would have to spend hundreds more to get the same quality. If you like the aesthetic of this guitar, get one and be amazed as I am

Gretsch guitars are well-known, and deservedly so. Being a long-time intermediate guitarist, I have always been familiar with the brand but couldn't justify the expense for my . Seeing recent models at a more moderate price point made me 'take the plunge' and 'Grab a Gretsch'. I expected quality...and was not disappointed! Everything about this guitar is top notch!

Came damaged , cracked on side , surface scratches . So initially displeased . The pickup switch does not always work , so that is also a issue . I had bought a Gretsch Jim Dandy 3/4 guitar from Instrument Pro in the past and it was fine . This one is also from Instrument Pro so I think the damage was likely caused during the shipping . The Silver color is really cool , less fingerprinting showing .Update : Reaching out to Instrument Pro and explaining the issue , they responded quickly offering a discount due to the damages in shipping .Once I get this guitar fixed I will be able to review it better . Thank you Instrument Pro ..

After swapping put to a v stop and roller bridge, I'm much happier...The guitar arrived promptly in good condition.Fit and finish were satisfactory. Two things I didn't like:#1 : the.back of the guitar was sprayed black poly, not the burst finish depicted-false advertising.#2: The TOM bridge is cheap garbage, the type found on $95 guitars, with the wire that is supposed to hold the intonation screws.Jeez, I replaced it with an IYV bridge. In addition, the frets needed attention.and the tuners were of very cheap quality.I have 2 other Gretsch guitars, this dosen't meet the standard. It's a $250 guitar.Again, you are not getting the guitar that is advertised.Beware.

Purchased one of these because a seller had a very good price on them. Was delivered in two days, best packaged guitar I have gotten in some time. Not much into silver, but makes this guitar look good. One very small cosmetic issue on back of body, otherwise very nice. Needs a slight set up done, frets, string height, fretboard all clean and very good. Excellent sounding, love the look of the tuners. Worth the cost easily.

Okay, so, when I bought this guitar, the regular price was $299, that is about where it should be valued, not $399 or $499, which in my opinion is priced too high for what it is. Review: Made in China like an Epiphone. That's okay. It is a well made, beautiful guitar! I really like this guitar. Actually, I like it as much as my Epiphone Les Paul. It reminds me of the 1955 Gretsch Silver Jet. In fact, I added a vintage style G stamped Gretsch tailpiece to add to the theme of the 55 Jet. The body was flawless. It has an archtop, I believe it is an enclosed chambered body, it almost has a semi-hollow sound. It sounds really good. I like the vintage type thumbnail fret markers, the G arrow, chrome, knurled volume and tone knobs (lots of chrome, like an old Cadillac). I also like the toaster top Humbucker pickups, that look almost like Gretsch Filtertrons, they sound excellent, and the covers even display the Gretsch name. They seem to be wax potted. I won't even upgrade them. The chrome trim rings give it a nice touch too, as does the white Pearloid Gretsch labeled pickguard. I also like the binding and black cherry colored back, sides, and neck. The guitar itself is smooth to touch. However, I had to dress a few fret wire ends, although, they were not too bad. Now it plays like a dream. I like the vintage style tuners, they seem to be keeping the guitar in tune, after stretching the strings and the break-in period. The intonation was close, and adjusted right in. Also, you are kind of stuck with purchasing a Gretsch brand hard case, which is a little expensive, as there are not many options for low price, aftermarket cases that will have a decent fit. It will surely not fit in a Les Paul case. The guitar is Great! Way nicer than all of the other Gretsch, low-end models, which I've tried out at Guitar Center. I have bought Chinese Les Paul copies in the past that needed hundreds of dollars worth of upgrades and repairs to make them decent. This Gretsch did not need a thing other than a couple of minor adjustments. Very happy with my purchase!

This guitar is, simply put, amazing. There is absolutely nothing else in this price range (new) that can compete. I've played Squier classic vibes, Epiphone Les Paul 100s / standards, and many other budget guitars and absolutely nothing touches this on sound, weight, and finish. It even comes with a hand-written inspection card! The frets are already smoothed, the edge of the fingerboard is lightly rolled, everything is bound, and the setup out of the box is absolutely flawless. There are no defects in the paint or clear coat, the tuners are solid, and the pickups are exceptionally versatile! YOU WON'T NEED TO REPLACE THE PICKUPS FOR SOMETHING BETTER!If you're a collector, a musician on a budget, or a beginner, you need one of these. There's absolutely no contest.
