Bought this thermometer to replace the one on my grill because it looks similar my thermometer that was on the grill. The old one was at 600° before you would even light it. I have not installed this one yet but when I do I’ll do a follow up but please pay attention to this. There is no gasket that goes under the thermometer between the grill cover and your thermometer. Therefore it will give you miss leading temperature because their heat. Will be absorbed by the lid, and the lid has no distance in between that the monitor and the lid on the original one game with a double gasket that goes in between the thermometer and a lead that way you get a true reading.Well I installed this one and works good, got the temperature up to 650 degrees! I used the old gasket and it fit perfect,
