A portable gas detector is a device that detects the presence of gases in an area, often as part of a safety system. Worked great the first 2 times I used it but it would not work after that. Changed the batteries it had not been dropped or abused just stopped working

This CO detector did not detect the seal that I had purposely infiltrated in the area very questionable product. Not enough information was given to know the levels of co that it detects, or if it detects noxious gas.

Purchased a second sensor and it does not detect CO. Everything else works correctly. Gave as a gift to my bro because he kept complaining about the air quality where he works. He did some quick test before starting his shift and fount the levels to were 125ppm. Showed his supervisor and they opened the bay doors to let some fresh air in. After several days of this his supervisor got one of his own and is making sure the air quality is in the healthy range. If you work in a shop that has gas powered forklifts, welding and lasers. It's definitely worth the price. Purchased a second sensor and it does not detect CO.
