This heat gun arrived quickly. It has a variable heat selection wheel that allows fine tuning to get just the right amount of heat. Excellent quality and works well. Excellent price.

This is a cool (and hot) heat gun with some cool features. As a guy who’s scorched stuff a number of times by laying down a red-hot heat gun, I love the self-cooling feature. It does everything you want it to do, but I’m a little concerned that although it says “built with UL-listed components”, the unit is not, itself, UL-listed. As a guy who used to investigate dangerous electrical gadgets that could burn down your house, and saw some seriously scary stuff, I always look for Underwriter’s Labs (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), or Electrical Testing Labs (ETL) - they actually cycle and stress stuff that they certify and make sure it won’t catch fire. This shows nothing, and it worries me. It might be wonderful and safe, or it might be a huge fire hazard… who knows? Maybe I’m paranoid about this stuff, but the stories I could tell you! It’s quite possible to have good components assembled poorly, so…So… it’s a “kind of recommended” with a reluctant four stars. If it bore C(UL)US, C(ETL), or CSA certification, I’d happily give it five stars.

I had to rebuild the front end of our SUV after a deer strike, and this heat gun’s variable setting was perfect for finding the sweet spot for coaxing the plastic back into shape before securing. It’s remarkably stable when placed upright, and allowed me to use two hands on the smaller bumper pieces. My only regret is there isn’t a case for the heat gun and all of its accessories, but the tool itself is a solid performer and is going to see a lot of use.

I always wanted a heat gun everytime I see a hobbyist video requiring me to melt something or heat something up to get it to shrink, or melt, or bend. This gun was cheap enough that it was worth the try! It has 6 different heat settings and it really REALLY does get hot very quick. The quality of the gun was surprisingly made very well and the instructions were quite simple and clear. I have been using it on a lot of furniture resurfacing projects lately to get random old gunk off surfaces and have used it to shrink wrap gifts and organizational items around the house. Be careful as it's extremely hot, so be wary of your hands and where you put this down.

With the included attachments I can say this heat gun is a winner. Low cost and heats up within 15 seconds. I have used multiple times and I can say it is the quickest I have ever seen at reaching high temps. Easy to adjust the temperature with the dial. Can lock in temps easily and quickly. Definitely worthy of a spot in my toolbox. Spreads the heat evenly with zero issues. Cools down relatively quick as well. I can recommend this heat gun.

It surprised me that it seems to have infinite heat adjustment within it two ranges. And yes, I need one of the attachments for the first job and it worked well.

Needed something to handle everything from heat-shrink tubing to thawing pipes, and this has been pulling its weight. Heats up fast, gets the job done without any unnecessary drama, and the adjustable settings are a nice touch. It’s been surprisingly handy in winter—turns out, having a heat gun is way better than standing outside with a hairdryer trying to convince ice to melt faster. It’s solidly built, easy to handle, and doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall apart mid-use. The attachments work well, though I wish it came with a case to keep everything together instead of me inevitably misplacing them in a random drawer. Small gripe, but overall, this is a solid tool that’s earned a permanent spot in my workshop.

This Aeroheat heat gun works a little differently from most that I've used before. The unit has both a toggle switch with off-low-high settings, and a temperature control dial. When in setting 1, the air flows but there's little to no heat - this is the cool down mode. Only in setting 2 is there any heat. In both settings the airflow is the same. The heat comes fast, and you can control it from 100 degrees C all the way to 600 degrees C.The unit can sit on its back, but this causes a lot of noise as the table amplifies the vibrations and air flowing. Also, the thick cord comes out near here and you have to be careful that the cord doesn't cause it to fall over. But I like working with the heat gun in this position when doing more delicate work like putting heat shrink tubing on cables. The adjustable heat setting is perfect for this kind of application. I'm normally pretty bad at overheating and outright melting the heat shrink tubing. By turning the temperature down, I was able to do a much better job using this heat gun.The heat gun comes with some useful accessories including a paint scraper, and four snap-on metal nozzles: two cone-shaped concentrators (one smaller, one larger) which focus the airflow into a tighter air jet, a wide nozzle which generates a flat fan shaped jet of air, and an air reflector.A pouch or case would be just about the only thing I'd wish for, to store all these accessories, but otherwise I'm definitely very pleased with this heat gun.

I've been using this heat gun for various craft projects, and it's been a game-changer. It heats up quickly and has great temperature control. Perfect for everything from shrink wrapping to removing paint. It's a bit loud, but that's to be expected.

It's a heat gun, and it works. I've used it a few times for heating up frozen pipes, melting ice off of my car and home, and applying heat-shrink to cabling (strain relief for ethernet, or shrink tubes for fiber splicing). Haven't used it to strip paint, but I imagine it would work just fine. It heats up very fast, feels relatively safe to use, and seems to reach the advertised temperatures. My only real gripe is that while it comes with a bunch of attachments, there's no good way to store them with the tool (no bag or case or place to clip them on when stowing it away) and they're all made out of very thin metal, so they'd likely deform or break if shoved in a drawer with other tools or scraps. However, I mostly use it without the attachments, so this isn't a huge concern for me, just a mild annoyance. I'm mostly pretty happy with this heat gun, and am happy to have it.

Good product for the price. The inconvenience regarding the cable could be solved if it were softer, that it could be bent; Other comments say that it cannot be held vertical, but that can be solved, carefully, by moving the cable to the side at its base, it can be done. Heats up very quickly. I will modify my opinion if necessary after using it for a longer time.

I'm impressed with the build quality of this heat gun. The whole thing is made from high quality and very stiff plastic, and the internals look pretty good. I really like how it has a 'cool' feature. While the listing originally mentioned UL listing, I couldn't find ANYTHING on the product itself supporting this. I also did some searching in UL's ProductIQ directory, and had no results. The only listed things I could see on this product are the power cable and power switch. I reached out to the merchant, who corrected the listing to say "Built with UL listed components." Fair enough, and while the assembled product itself isn't listed, I took a peek inside and it looks nicely made.Unfortunately, the "precise temperature settings" aren't an actual closed loop system. It's essentially just a dimmer, although even that much control is welcome. There's no temperature sensor inside at all. Honestly, this is what I expected for the price. As for the 'cooling' feature, it still runs the heating elements but at a very low level, possibly to prevent thermal stress. It really speeds up bringing the barrel (and any attachment) down to a safe temperature for handling. As mentioned, the actual guts are also pretty good. Everything is neat and there's adequate thermal insulation between the hot parts and the plastic housing. Any plastic that actually touches hot metal is special high-temperature stuff. It has the main drive MOSFET for the heater in the intake path to assist in cooling it, which is a nice touch. There's a thermal cutoff switch near the heating element. The unit is rated to max out at 1500W, and on the highest setting I was getting around 1300W. That's acceptably within margins. The included nozzles are a little bit of a mixed bag. The two reducer/concentrator nozzles are perfectly fine, but the wide and reflector nozzles are a bit cheap with sharp edges. Especially the wide nozzle, it's quite difficult to get installed on the end. The reflector also needed to be bent inward to be effective. I would recommend wiping each down with isopropyl alcohol before use, to remove manufacturing residue and reduce the amount of smoke on first use.It will stand on the rear, with the the barrel facing upwards, but you have to be careful. Even the weight of the power cable can tip it over.In conclusion, it's a nicely designed heat gun and I don't have much in the way of complaints. It doesn't have actual temperature control, just power, but even that is better than what you get on most heat guns.
