Wouldn’t recommend this heat gun. I’ve been looking for a good cordless one for a while and ended up buying the standard version Vevor heat gun. Was really looking forward to using it at work, but was very disappointed and underwhelmed with it. It’s advertised to go up to 1022F but I never got it to get above 480F. I used a Dewalt 20v 4ah, then a 6ah and finally a 12ah battery all on setting 6 which is the hottest, and not even the 12ah could get it above 480F. Really disappointed with it, I plan on returning it and just getting the Dewalt heat gun instead.

It would not melt the solder heat shrink butt connector. and the heater shut down when their are 2 light bar left on the 5Amp Dewalt battery. It will shrink the regular heat shrink with time.

Great idea using a Dewalt battery for a heat gun. I'm just not happy with the amount of air that the fan pushes. It does work well for shrink tube but it took forever to melt some ice from my minnow bucket.

There is no way this heat gun produces 550 degree output. I can point the heat gun towards my hands and will not burn you. I will be returning this and will get a different brand. I DONT RECOMMEND THIE PRODUCT AT ALL.

Didn't come with a battery - needs DeWalt 20V battery. After ordering and trying two different DeWalt 20V batteries with chargers over two months and BOTH being defective (wouldn't charge,) I borrowed a friend's fully charged DeWalt 20 Volt 2 ah battery and tried it with it. It went through the fully charged battery in less than FIVE MINUITES!!! Save your money - these "Hot Air Guns" aren't worth the plastic they are made of, and I've had it too long to start a return on it due to problems getting a working battery to try in it, so I'm stuck with a USELESS tool and am out $42+.
