This switch lasted less than a month. First it stopped disconnecting. In the off position it would have a resistance of several K ohms. Then it stopped closing reliability. I cut it open with a tubing cutter to see why it failed and the inside is corroded and filled with loose debris. Maybe it would last longer if you used silicone grease to seal the seems and around the shaft, but if it looks this bad after a few weeks I wouldn't expect much.

Does a great job as it is designed but I would very much like it to be waterproof. As there is no seal around the shaft I'm sur it isn't waterproof which means I have to mount the switch inside the cab, dang it. Nice heavy duty switch.

This seems to be a complete kit. It was fast delivery and a fair price. Is to be used as a battery disconnect on a piece of heavy equipment.

This was a replacement item for a twelve volt disconnect previously purchased by me at Auto Zone at half the price. Besides being an exact replacement it also came with a ON/OFF face plate. I would recommend this device for your DC need not to exceed the amperage rating. I'm so happy Auto Zone quit stocking their 12-V disconnect so I had to turn to Prime for the same quality switch excpt with a nice ON/OFF face plate and including a huge 50% savings.

I painted my switch knob red. I installed it along side a negative disconnect, and a solar battery tender (which I also added a switch so I can turn it on when the battery is completely disconnected). The combo keeps my battery charged at all times. It’s great for keeping my lightly used classic car ready to go.
