ok, the handle of this hoe went together easily BUT when i went to put the head of the hoe on the first bolt & nut went on well but the other two were difficult. i had to put the head in a vice and hold the small bolt with a channel lock pliers so it they would stay in place for me to tighten the nut down. the bolts are "carriage" bolts that means just in back of the head is a square piece that [ on the hoe head ] fits into precut holes, but the bolts didn't stay put while i was tring to tighten them down. otherwise this hoe looks to be of good quality and is as described.

It is hard to attach the cutting blade to the handle. It needs a slot in the screws so that you can use a screw driver to hold the screw while you tighten the nut.It is also larger than the last one I bought. Check your size before ordering.

We’re a tall family, with the tallest among us being 6’5”. Having a garden tool with a handle this long is revolutionary for us. So much easier on the lower back! Sadly, it’s still cold and snowing here in the north, so we couldn’t really try this out properly. If I encounter any issues with this later this spring I will come back and edit this review. It is easy to put together, and the length can be adjusted. The hoe is sharp, durable and well made. The pole feels stout and strong as well. Overall we’re very happy with this and would definitely buy again. Good value for price.

This hoe is sharp and digs no problem. Put it to work on your outdoor spaces. I like that no matter the size you can adjust the hoe so it’s not too tall. Take off two sections and even your kids can help you hoe. Well made and durable there is noting this hoe can’t do.

I made sure to use petroleum jelly on the ends of each pole section before I assembled this in its longest position so it'll be easy to separate them if I decide I want to use it with a shortened pole. Ergonomically, the longest position feels the most comfortable to me (I'm 5'6" tall) but the pole having a larger than usual diameter also contributes to how comfortable it is to hold. I had difficulty tightening the screws and had to ask a neighbor to do that for me but I have arthritis in my wrists - others may find it easy. I like the fact that the blade can be removed for easier sharpening.

I am impressed with this hoe so far, I was worried that the sectional handle would be wobbly and cheap. But it really seems to be tight-fitting and I like the option to have a very long handle to reach further from myself into the garden beds. Also lets the weight of the hoe do more of the work. The blade is sturdy and a near perfect shape and angle. I haven't yet tried grubbing/chopping work with it, mostly because I have a nice heavy Rogue hoe that I love for that work. I think this will be my go-to hoe for cultivating around my garden plants.

Works good, nice and long, seems pretty sturdy especially in our dirt full of rocks! Will definitely be useful in the garden beds once we start planting.

Honestly, I was not expecting very much on a break-a-part hoe. But upon opening this and feeling the weight of the head, I started having a second opinion. Once assembled, this is a very nice hoe. The handle comes in four sections and is about 6' long. The handle screws together and apart very easy, which makes this very portable in the field. Backpacking this into the woods and building trails is going to be fun. Easy to take apart and pack in a backpack and reassemble quickly, once in the field.Putting the head together took a couple of minutes and it comes with a good quality wrench to assemble the head. Once together, you do not have to take the head off.The head has a good half-moon shape with some great angles for the corners. This cuts in good on some hard Georgia clay! Looking forward to some fun trails coming from this little hoe.It also comes with two extra bolts and nuts. One bolt and nut for the head and one bolt and nut for the handle. Plus, a good quality wrench to assemble.
