Takes a lot of effort to start. Have to use starter fluid and its still hard. Once it starts no problem on restarts as long as still warm. The reach is not as long as advertised since you have to reach out using your arms for full extension. Weight of head makes it hard to do.

The engine runs great after adjusting the jets. However, the clutch spring is too strong and you really have to rev the engine to get it to engage. The turning shaft that drives the saw head does not reach the saw connection. The splines don't connect so the saw won't run. It ends up being useless. A complete waste of money I've had it apart several times and there is no way to make the splines mesh at the saw head

It took searching on YouTube and Google just to figure out how to put this thing together. So far it does work but we will see for how long.

This pole saw will not start, it will cost as much to return it as I paid for it. It’s junk. Shame on this company for selling junk.

Incomprehensible instructions made assembly and starting the saw hellishly difficult. Material quality and workmanship is poor. Once assembled and started, it works surprisingly well. Starts on the first pull with 1/4 choke, which was a pain to figure out. Lesson learned, will get DeWalt next time and stay away from no brand tools. Much pain would have been avoided had I taken the time to read reviews prior to purchase.

My husband put it together (following the directions provided) and the blade wouldn’t turn so I put in a request to send it back. I was sent a message saying we needed to take it apart and follow the video instructions before they would give me authorization to return because it was likely my husbands error. He put it back together following the video instructions on line. When he tried to start the saw the second go round , the starter handle broke and the blade still wouldn't turn. There is no customer service number for Homedox so he wasn’t able to speak with anyone to trouble shoot the issue so we sent it back.In addition, the plastic covering the motor is very thin and cheaply made.I was able to return it but it cost $40 to ship it back.

The pole saw does not work the head for the chain attachment is made from a cheap alloy that came broken the handle trigger attachment is made of thin plastic and rotates as does the handle to hold the pole saw and I just found out that this pole saw should not have been sent to my location by law and it doesn’t even work

Cuts like butter. Easy to put together. And I got spare parts to boot. Beautiful engine. Highly recommend for this price.
