I've used it to trim some branches and it works great. Lasts more than long enough for me to get the job done.

I am a senior so I find it hard to use a full-size pole chainsaw due to the weight of the saw and my balance problems. The large pole saw I used in the past was top heavy and hard to use for more than 5 minutes at a time. This 8-inch chainsaw is smaller and lighter so it is not as top heavy, and the battery goes on the bottom of the pole so it acts a bit like a counterweight. I still get tired arms and a stiff neck using this for more than 15 minutes at a time, but I just take breaks to gather up the cut branches until I am ready to go again. The extendable pole allows me to reach as far as about 15 ft up a tree without losing my balance or getting too tired. The battery and the saw were both very easy to slip onto the pole and to take off, so I didn't have to struggle with that like I have with other cordless saws. This chainsaw can cut through the majority of branches that I have to deal with in my yard and isn't too heavy or hard to maneuver. It also is low maintenance. Unfortunately this did not come with any extra chains or batteries. It looks like the battery is a common type (Power Share) so I shouldn't have trouble getting replacements. The main negative is that this is a bit expensive when compared to other similar cordless pole saws, considering it did not have any extras like a case, extra chains, or batteries. The seller is very responsive to questions, and provided me with the information I needed concerning the chain within 24 hours of my asking (in case you need this information for ordering more 8 inch chains: DL45; Pitch: 1/4" or 1/4" LP; Gauge: .043). If they offer this with a good coupon, I can fully recommend it as the convenience and ease of use makes this worth getting, and it works really well.

I’m new to the powered pole saw market. There’s this “dirty” tree in my yard, a Peachleafed Willow that drops all sorts of limbs and branches every year. There are (were) several dead limbs higher up that I didn’t feel comfortable trying to reach with my extension ladder and a gas powered chainsaw. So, this came in handy to reach the lower dead branches and some that needed pruning. The higher up dead bits were reachable with my multi ladder and this saw extended to its max length. The swivel and tilt head seemed a bit sloppy, but most of that was due to the saw’s connection to the pole. The tilt function has 7 locking positions while the swivel has 3, but is mostly tight enough to hold an in-between orientation. Pretty sure it would not survive an impact if it slipped and slammed into the ground. Only one battery. The instructions/manual could use an expanded troubleshooting section as well as a charger light explanation. No idea how long the battery will last- the LED panel showed 100% battery charge even though it hadn’t been charged after unpacking everything. It seemed to keep its charge well while cleaning up that willow, which probably totaled a max of 10 minutes use. It flew through the smaller 3/4 - 1 1/2” limbs and a little longer on the largest which were in the 2-3” range. There’s one more dead looking stumpy limb that looks closer to 4”, but I’m pretty confident this will handle that without issue. Only 1 bar, only 1 chain. It came with a pretty lame 1/4” file. No clue how this stacks up with other similar saws in terms of performance and durability. Looks like there are several other saws with more batteries with price reductions for 40 bucks less, but I’m not sure what what capacity those batteries are. This one is labeled 3 amp-hours but I have no way to test that.

I like this 2 in 1 battery powered chainsaw from NovorikX because I can use it as a hand saw or attach the pole for limb trimming. It’s nice to have the option to use it without the pole. It’s powered by a 20v 3Ah battery that comes with a charger. It has plenty of power for trimming and pruning around the house.I’m impressed at how long the battery lasts. There is an illuminating light that comes on when the saw is in use. That’s a first for me , but it’s nice to have. There is a built-in safety feature that requires a button to be depressed before engaging the switch to operate the saw. This safety feature is present in either configuration. There is a guard on the top of the chain to protect from kickback. It also allows you to use the saw ,exposing only the bottom of the chain, so you don’t inadvertently cut something above. The pole extends quite a bit. It’s easily adjusted with its quick flip clamps. There is a nice foam padding on the pole. There’s a strap included that clips to two points on the pole to reduce fatigue during extended use.I have it pictured against a 6ft fence and that’s not fully extended. The angle of the saw, when attached to the pole, is easily adjustable into multiple positions allowing operation from multiple angles. You just push a button and adjust until you hear a click. Included are a pair of gloves, safety glasses and a sharpening tool.Everything comes ready to use. You do have the fill up the reservoir with bar/chain oil which is not included. I had some. It’s not recommended to use without oil. Keeping the bar oiled greatly reduces wear from the chain, extending the life of the bar and chain. There is a little bulb that I pressed for the first use. I could see that it was oiling the bar.I used it right out of the box as it came 100% fully charged. It performed flawlessly.I will get a lot done with this saw. It’s great for pruning shrubs and trees.I’ll even use it in its handheld configuration to cut small limbs for firewood kindling. For what you get, this saw is a good value for the asking price.I give this 2 in 1 chainsaw/polesaw a big 2 thumbs up for its safety features, the light, the battery life indicator , the extendable/ removeable pole and its efficient performance.
