The magnet is WEAK. It's not very big and doesn't feel sturdy/stiff. I would say decent value for what I paid. I bought to pick up sewing pins. I will keep them (immediate need) but keep looking for a product for future use

I found that the best way to use this is to take the cover off the magnetic end. Wish it had a stronger magnet

I should have read the description better, this does not extend. It's the size of a writing utensil.

Beats stepping on needles. My grandaughter spills needles in her carpet and they jab in her feet. I bought it for her. My husband used it to find lost screws, etc in the caroet when fixing things. Recommended
