This adapter works but you have to force it in and out. The operation is not smooth at all. There is also no good way to strain relieve the power cable. Will do, but awesully primitive.

Update 4 years later:I only really got about a year of good connectivity out of this plug. I am not sure what went wrong with it, but lights would flicker on and off or just not work at all. The cover also got very rusty over time, but the body stayed totally fine. I wonder if they are different metals that caused galvanic corrosion. Either way, this was only 10 bucks so I’m not gonna take any stars off. However, I would probably spend more next time and I’d also go for a strong UV-resistant plastic instead of metal.Original Review:I wanted a trailer connector that didn't take extreme force to push together (looking at you, flat 4-wire connectors), and would make a good connection every time. This is that. It looks great on my back bumper too. Connecting the trailer is SO much easier than it used to be, and it has a satisfying click when you plug it in. Love it.

Decent connector for a really good price. No instructions are included, but if you don't know how to put in the wires you probably shouldn't be doing it. Picture shows the mounting bracket but it's not included (not listed in the product description either if you read it). I used it for a dump trailer control switch.

We had a camper that fit into the bed of our pickup truck. It had an existing female plug, but we needed the male plug to wire into our truck to charge the camper batteries while we are driving. This option worked great. Easily plugged into the existing plug on the camper and wired up easily.
