So easy to assemble, but this is not a set of 2 poles (it's one pole). A set of these poles would fill a need to suspend any kind of lighting where you can't or don't want to attach to a wall. They are tall enough that you could walk underneath the suspended lighting. We will also use for celebration banners, especially for birthday bbqs.UPDATE from 5 to 4 stars: While easy to assemble to various heights, it becomes more important to keep it straight with each section you add for heighth (I used a level along the length of it and adjusted the 3 screws at bottom to keep it tightly in position). The screws have nuts welded on the outside of the bottom piece and two came unwelded while making tightening adjustments to keep the pole straight. I took the now-separated nuts and put them on the inside of the bottom piece (where you attach the first section of the pole to the base) and was able to continue to tighten the screws against the pole to keep it straight. Be prepared to do this and you should be good to go! The pole, even at 10', is sturdy and looks great!

I think this is the best light post product I have bought so far. It is really sturdy and very good quality. Others that are $19.99 for 6 posts are for very light string lights and won't last more than a season. This product should last for years. BUT .... the bottom piece that connect the main pole is faulty by design. When I screwed in the last screw into the screw ground "pile 'D'", and then tightened the screw "E" (which is mislabeled in the instructions), the screw hole broke apart, leaving only two of three fasteners to hold up the entire pole. I am still ordering 3 more because I hope it's a fluke and I do think this is the best product so far. Hoping the company will send me a replacement pole.

I originally got this HOKSO string light pole thinking that it came as a pack of two due to the marketing images showing two of them on the main photo but was a little disappointed when only one arrived in the mail. When I assembled it I noticed that it sort of clashed with the wood poles that I made to hang our current string lights and had the potential to go really high 10ft to be exact. That's when I decided to pivot and mount our solar flood light up there instead and this was the perfect pole to get our light high enough to light our DIY backyard pickleball court. The poles themselves feel sturdy being made entirely of metal. Each piece of the pole is able to screw onto the next piece extending it to your desired height. Each of the body pieces are the same with the top piece being a bit shorter and capped on one end. The hooks simply slide onto the poles and is tensioned using two thumb screws. I found that these thumb screws were more than sufficient for holding up string lights without any slippage. The base of the unit tensions onto the pole using three hex screws and is screwed into the ground which is surprisingly stable even with a 10ft pole. With our solar flood light attached this thing looks like a street lamp in our yard. The extra height allows our mounted light to provide a good amount of coverage over our concrete court. At less than $20 I think this is a really great product but only time will tell if it gets rusty or if it ends up falling over due to us mounting too much weight onto it but if used as intended to hold up string lights I have no doubt that it will hold up.

The item image and the language used makes it seem like you're getting 2 poles, but upon opening the package I quickly realized it's only 1 pole. I'll have to update this review, but wanted to make sure people are aware that this is 1 pole only.

maybe if the wingnuts weren't as bright of silver as they are, it wouldn't be as obvious, but considering these shouldn't really have an official front and back because the pole is 360 degrees, even putting the wingnuts to "the back" seems like not enough. it's the biggest issue i take with this pole, otherwise it's pretty decent. the auger drills plenty deep and the pole has enough extnsion rods to keep it fairly tall. given, the taller, the less tension can be placed near the top without a reaction, but that's part of the tradeoff. the spacing and tension is important at different heights. it's pretty simple to put together and even though it takes a while, the auger will go deep into the ground, though i would suggest pushing it as far as possible before giving up like i did because that extra depth just secures and grounds the pole even deeper to effectively utilize the poles maximum height. durable materials that can be modified to preference, it's a really sollid yet portable pole

So idk if anyone else reads as bad as me lol but this is one single pole. It is really tall tho and seems sturdy. It’s withstanding the Texas wind and storms so far.
