Ottimo prodotto.

Reasonably easy to set up especially with the helpful comments left by other purchasers here.We have 400m as the crow flies but plenty of bushes, trees, fencing posts and even earth banks between the two points. We did have a bit of random alerting when the receiver was behind a thick stone wall in the cottage but once placed on a window sill, it's consistent. Some of the sounds are a bit irritating or tinny but there are plenty to choose from and as this is a farm, we went for the rooster which is quite realistic and adds a comical touch without making anyone jump.

Good product. Works well, but why make brackets with fixing holes when slots could be used to aid adjustment? It is difficult to drill rendered walls into unknown bricks behind and obtain a perfectly accurate alignment.I use in Murcia Spain where it is mostly sunny. No issues with solar charging.I do find it doesn’t always trigger the alarm. Mostly yes, but not always.

I tried a standard PIR detector and it alarmed on everything. Junk. Figured a true IR beam would work better and that turned out to be exactly the case. Works great, picks up every car/truck entering my long driveway. No false alarms yet. Have not done the 100ms versus 200ms change so it can miss a person walking fast. Note that it does beep at the sensors when activated but it's not largely noticeable. Only point to be aware of: if you want to set up a system so that this unit alarms you with an external device (Arduino ie) you need the exact same version that comes with a square receiver unit instead of this triangular one. The triangular unit does not have any alarm output. I made that mistake but found the square receiver unit for sale separately.Update: The alarm output on the rectangular unit will go high (14.3 v) for 60 seconds (+/- 5 sec). If the sensors are tripped within that time limit, it will reset counting from 0 for 60 seconds before turning off. And there is no battery backup on this unit: power out = nothing. The sensor marked "R" will also sound a 6 beep sequence starting at 15 seconds after being tripped and also flash a small red LED near the tiny LCD window. The sensors can still trip again before that time limit and if activated the 15 seconds will start over.I learned all this because I have hooked up an Arduino Uno Wifi R4 (24$) to send a text message when alarmed. (Does require some programming knowledge)

Wasn't very hard to install and seems to be working well. But time will tell. I wish it had spoken words in lieu of just tones like front gate, side gate, front door etc. If it have that I would have given it 5 stars. Seems to be a good buy.

I purchased this product with a little scepticism that it would not work as promised. My driveway is 97mtrs from my house. So surprised that it worked no problems at all.So easy to setup and install took no time at all. I watched the Youtube video suggested in the install literature and followed the easy steps. I have mine plugged into a power source but appears to work on batteries only tooHighly recommend this product

We've had this sensor installed for several weeks now, and after having a chance to try it out we are very pleased with its overall performance. Bottom line: it works as advertised. Very few false alarms (but not zero), range seems sufficient, battery life/solar recharge rate seems sufficient for sub-optimal placement, and installation took a little time but it was easier than I thought it was going to be.We had several occasions where delivery drivers would tear up our driveway while our dog was outside, although our pup is pretty good about staying away from vehicles we were scared that the worst might happen if we weren't careful. We wanted to have a reliable way to know when a car was coming up our driveway so that we could take precautions and keep our furry friend safe if we couldn't be outside with him 100% of the time. It is also just nice to have warning when someone might be dropping by or if guests are arriving early.Previous to this, the closest thing we had was a motion sensor on a camera over our garage. The problem was that the sensitivity was either set so that it didn't detect anything at all, or that it was set off by every bird or branch blowing in the wind. So we basically just ignored it because all of the false alarms made it meaningless. This sensor uses a beam that must be broken by a passing object like a garage door sensor, and so it is much less prone to false alarms than motion sensors seem to be. In the several weeks we have had this setup, we have only had a handful. I am unsure what was the cause, perhaps wildlife passing through, but in any case 98% of the time we know if this thing rings we have a car coming. I left the sensor on the default sensitivity setting (receiver will chime if the beam is blocked for 0.2 seconds) and it seems to work fine, I'll even set it off most of the time walking through the beam when taking the pup on walks. You can change it to a 0.1 second sensitivity level tho if you want to try and consistently detect foot traffic as well but I have not tested this as it's not a concern of mine.I was a little concerned about the reception of the signal from the sensors down at the front of the driveway to the receiver on the first floor of the house that is way at the back of our property, so I elected to err on overkill and get the 1km range model. Despite direct line of site being blocked by some brush, a small knoll, and the walls of the house itself (as seen in the attached photo) reception seems more than adequate as I hoped. As we don't have any sort of gate or fencing by our driveway I was worried installation was going to be a real pain, I wasn't sure exactly how I was going to mount it. I ended up using a couple T-posts I had left over from a previous fencing project, and using the included hardware I was able to fairly easily attach the sensors to the T-posts... it wasn't pretty but it seems to be sturdy enough to do the trick so I was very happy that it worked out as smoothly as it did. If you don't have any pre-existing structures to mount these to then I can say from experience that sinking a couple T-posts on either side of the driveway is a quick and easy option versus planting some 4x4 posts. Aligning the sensors was also easier than I thought, I just eye-balled it across the top one of the sensors like a gun sight and after making a few adjustments on the mounts that seemed to do the trick. The sensors are mounted in a shady area but they are south facing and do get some direct sunlight on sunny days. So far I have had no issues with battery life but if I do as the days get much shorter and rainier in the coming winter months as happens here in the Pacific Northwest, I will be sure to update this review.

I spent the better part of an afternoon setting this up (working alone.) Below are my observations that I hope may help others. I've included pictures of the back of the transmitter and receiver to show the "T" and "R" that distinguish them. I didn't see these right away. I've also included a picture of the mounting bracket that I used in hopes of better explaining why the peepholes are not of much use with this installation.Cons:1.) By "sensitivity" is meant, apparently, the length of time in milliseconds (ms) that the beam has to be broken to trigger an alarm. The factory default is 200 ms and the directions say it can be set to 100 ms. If a 12 inch-wide person (profile view-no pot belly) walks at 3 mph through the beam, the beam will be blocked out for 227 ms which should set off the alarm. The same person, jogging at 6 mph (~114 ms) would not unless you set it to 100 ms. I tested this by walking through the beam slowly and quite fast. I could only get it to alarm by walking slowly (I didn't measure my actual speed.) To me, at least, the directions were not at all clear as to how to change the setting to 100 ms. I cannot understand why it would not be designed to be at the highest sensitivity be default (i.e. instantaneous) anyway. When I first put the system up, I had it at about 5 ft. above ground. I drove through the beam on my UTV a couple of times at different speeds with no alarm. I think it was just my head breaking the beam. I moved the sensors down lower (to about 2 feet off the ground) and then I got consistent alarms.Independent of this sensitivity, there is a delay from when the beam is broken to when the alarm is sent to the "base station." It appears to be about 1 to 2 secs. For me, this is not too much of a problem since my driveway is about 230 ft. long. For shorter distances it may be a problem for some. Again, I cannot understand why it would be designed this way.2.) The "peepholes" for aligning the sensors are not of much use if you mount the units on solid posts. This is a little difficult to explain without a picture (I did include one), but if the mounting brackets are 90 degrees to the beam path, the units can not be moved enough in order to adjust and calibrate the system (the reason is the length of that little cutout arc). If, on the other hand, you mount the brackets "inline" with the beam, where they can be moved enough (as I show in the picture), then you can't see through the post to view through the peepholes. I had to sight them by standing back a distance from the sensors and "eyeballing" it. Mine are separated by about 25 ft. so that worked, but for a 300 ft. separation, I don't think you could do it.Pros:1.) I will say that the signal strength seems to be quite good. I have mine mounted about 230 ft. from my window where the base unit receiver is and I get the alarm every time. Transmission range was always a problem with other systems I tried. Not with this one.2.) The alarm is quite loud which is very good. I have had other units, but I couldn't hear them from other parts of the house. There are many easily changeable and annoying alarm sounds. (I finally found one that I could tolerate.)3.) The base unit will operate with 4 AA batteries (not included). You need this so you can take the base unit with you when you are setting up the sensors for testing and calibration.4.) Customer service is excellent. Most businesses these days don't reply nearly as quickly as these guys do. That's a big plus. I emailed them and they replied straight away. That's the main reason for 5 stars. All in all I'm happy with the system, the above cons notwithstanding. I bought the system to detect cars and delivery trucks coming on to my property and it seems to do that well. Most importantly, no false alarms like the proximity sensor systems that I've owned previously.Update: 1/19/2021 -Highly recommended. This thing is working perfectly. Best feature is NO FALSE ALARMS!
