Our 12 year old pup is well trained but now that he’s getting older he goes outside to do his business more often. If he wakes up at like 4am and needs to go, there is a 50/50 chance he will not wake us up. In the morning we may find a small spot of urine. This alarm is great for letting us know that he’s gotten up so we can let him out.

I'm using this for security when gone, so cats roaming around the floor and on cat trees don't trigger it. Pet-ignoring function works and range is decent, but app features are a bit limited for a motion sensor.Pet rejection works well. Upper and lower sensors must both detect motion to trigger an event, so a pet only ever triggers the lower one (or upper one, if a cat on a cat tree).Motion detection is slow, taking several seconds to notify in app. Smart action to turn light on took 7 seconds. Range was at least 20 feet.Smart control is limited. When there's motion, status changes to motion but changes back to no motion only a few seconds later, even if you are walking around in front of it continuously. The motion status re-triggers every minute if there's still motion. So for light control you could have motion turn the light on for 10 minutes.Manual description didn't match operation, particularly for testing installation. I couldn't get test mode, where it should light up whenever there's motion, for easy testing. It talks about a green LED coming on normally with motion, but this doesn't occur.
