I didn’t expect much for $10 but to my surprise its great. Performs well! I am not sure what other people expect in terms of ruggedness…. Its a telescopic antenna. They are generally somewhat fragile compared to a “duck” or other whips. If you are careful with it they will do well until that one defining day when it gets bent.

This antenna is ok. The reception quality is not the greatest and it feels a little flimsy when fully extended.

Bargain price for a perfect 144 MHz whip. At 20" it probably works great on 2M, and its end can be pushed in to make the whip any lentth over sx inches. There are a lot of over priced and goofey antennas for sale, but this is the hands-down winner.

The quality is good and the performance is very good as well. Fit and finish are excellent. By extending the antenna gives you better signal pickup.

I have mixed feelings about this antenna. Bought it for a bearcat125at scanner. It picks up the aircraft frequencies a bit better than the standard one, but the more distant police frequencies bring in enough static that I can no longer understand what they are saying. The factory antenna does not do this, and I can understand them much better. I personally prefer listening to the police bands over aircraft, so I went back to my standard antenna. I will have to find something that works a bit better for me.

Worked great for receiving aircraft bands on my Uniden BC125AT scanner. Just bought a second one to use with this adapter https://www.amazon.com/L-shaped-Adapter-Coaxial-Connector-conversion/dp/B07CR3THL9 for use on my Uniden BC365CRS desktop scanner to receive aircraft bands on it too.
