Seems decent. Please note for a Baofeng or RTL SDR your need an adaptor. This is not really mentioned and was extremely disappointing to find out when it arrived.

I just got this put together last night. Assembly was easy, screws did not strip at all. Everything feels solid fully assembled. It was late, but I stepped out on my front porch and tried to hit a GMRS repeater around 60 miles away from me. Monitoring stations were surprised that I was able to activate the repeater and said I sounded crystal clear! I was only using a TD-H3 5 watt HT! I can't wait to get this mounted on the roof this afternoon. VERY happy with my purchase!

I purchased a couple of the five element Yagi versions. To begin, following the instructions for initially positioning the gamma match slide produced an irregular shaped VSWR to frequency graph which looked nothing the graph in the instructions. The targeted frequency range for my application was 438MHz to 447MHz through the FM simplex and duplex segments. I removed the narrowest section of black shrink wrap which allowed the gamma slide to be adjusted closer to the boom. After moving the gamma slide block about the width of the slide block closer to the remaining black insulating material I was able to achieve the expected hyperbolic resonance graph. Results will vary with your particular installation but this antenna can be tuned for frequencies with the product frequency range. At 442.300MHz I achieved a VSWR of 1.12 and at 447.000 a VSWR of 1.28 of which both are acceptable. These measurements were obtained with vertical polarization and slightly better results were achieved with horizontal polarization. The photo I included shows the position I am using for the portion of the band I mentioned. It required removal of the narrow 3/8" black shrink wrap.I have tested this antenna to 50W and it functions just fine. Finally let me say there is absolutely nothing complicated about this antenna and its light weigh will allow it to be used with an inexpensive RCA TV rotor. The wind survival velocity is rated at 60 m/s which is equivalent to ~134 mph and I do not doubt it would survive. As for concerns some have expressed about structural integrity, the construction of this antenna is suitable given the various physical parameters of its design. Entire books have been written on Yagi antenna design which includes numerous element material strength and electrical specifications. You can pay more, a lot more if you wish, for other brands and you'll achieve the same rf results as this light weight antenna. My only recommendation for the manufacturer is to replace or otherwise optionally offer all UHF antennas with a Type N coax connector. Type N is the standard for UHF antenna feed line systems. Coax adapters and barrel connectors are not recommended especially beyond 300 MHz.

Great bang for the buck. I use mine for GMRS on a HT and works awesome. I'm getting across the county 22 miles at a antenna hight of 17ft. Tuned it in for GMRS and a good swr of 1.17. only reason I give it 4 stars is because I feel it could use 2 screws to hold the 2 half's of the boom instead of one screw. Overall great antenna and tuned easily. I recommend if on a budget or just want a simple directional for GMRS ons or amateur band 70cm.

For the price, this is hard to beat. I set it up and was getting marginal performance, but after adding Palomar mix 61 ferrite for a choke I’m getting excellent results (coax coil could also be used, but not practical for my setup with lmr400). I am using this in my attic, so I can’t attest to its durability to the elements, but it’s plenty sturdy for my application. Setup was easy enough. I found tuning to be pretty spot on right at the edge of the heat shrink tubing to cover both ham band and gmrs.

Well constructed yagi. Swr was good on 70cm with no tweaking.

Construction good, assembly easy but a little disappointed with performance. SWR was a little higher than optimum but acceptable. My expectations of improved connection with a distant repeater (73 km) were too high.
