Got this for the hubby that's always dropping the remote on the floor in bed - easy to install and you can adjust the length of how much cord stays out. It doesn't retract as smoothly as expected but still does the trick.

I've only had this two days and I'm already wondering why I didn't get one of these sooner! I am so bad about carrying my tv remote with me when I get up and then putting it down in some obscure spot so I have to look for ten minutes to find it! Not anymore! This handy and cheap little gadget is like the retractable leashes I use to walk my dogs, only much smaller, with a wire that fastens with a nice curved adhesive pad to my remote. The wire, nearly 6' long, retracts into a small box. about 1.5" x 1.5". The length of wire that retracts can be adjusted with a tiny L-shaped wrench that is included, along with two extra adhesive pads in case you want to change to a different remote or to a different box location. I haven't misplaced my remote in two days--a record for me! I don't know how long this will last...seems sturdy enough...but even if I break it, I'll buy another. I don't want to be without one of these ever again! :-)

Seems to be made with pretty high quality parts actually. Retracts immediately, I do kind of wish it had a feature where you could lock the cable in place open but then again, that would probably just be asking for a part to break and then it wouldn't work as good. Works well though. The part to attach to the remote is really flexible so even if you had a flat backed remote I think this would stillnworknwell. Mine was curved and this fit it perfect

I’m a big fan of these retractable remote leashes—they’ve saved me tons of time hunting down remotes, especially with kids and a busy household. Unfortunately, this particular one had really weak adhesive on the remote side and just wouldn’t stay attached. I’ve used better versions in the past, so I can’t recommend this one.

I love being a BnB host, but the slim remote for the streaming device in the rental unit was constantly going missing—slipping between couch cushions or seemingly growing legs and walking off.Problem solved! The tether cord is several feet long, and the retraction tension is light enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re fighting it. It doesn’t get in the way, so the user experience remains smooth.Sure, there are DIY solutions that could achieve a similar result, but having a proper product looks more professional—and in a rental space, that small detail is definitely worth the purchase.

This is basically like a badge reel, but with wire instead of string. If you've ever had a hotel with an anchored remote you know what this is. It's fairly strong, not strong enough to pull the remote back onto the table, but enough to make holding the remote for too long uncomfortable. You certainly won't lose one attached with this.

This is a great little gadget to keep track of my TV remote control. The connector is designed to attach to curved objects. For example, the back of my remote is curved. There are 2 options to attach the base to a surface - with the included adhesive or with screws. I left the adhesive sticker set for about 3 hours before I used it to make sure the connection was secure.
