I’m not sure what led me to purchase this item, but if you own a Lomi like me, you are trying to reduce your environmental impact on the planet and reduce the amount of waste you produce. The manufacturer of this product does not hold this same mentality toward reducing waste. Not only does the carbon filter come in two non-compostable bags, but all the compost accelerator tabs (all 45 of them!) are individually wrapped in non-compostable packaging and stuffed into another huge non-compostable zip bag. I feel dirty having bought this, but now it would be wasteful not to at least use what I bought before I send all the packaging to the landfill where it will sit for 1000 years.
