This is an amazing little device that will automatically pull up the Insta360 app on your phone and get you to editing quickly.I would give this five stars but for one thing: if you have a lightning connector, you must take off your phone case. They needed to make the lightning connector longer. I have a minimalist case, not an otter box or anything thick. It just does not reach without taking the cover off

I do have one suggestion for the manufacturer . . . Somehow make the lighting adapter a small bit longer or a way to connect to my iPhone 13 Pro Max while it has a smaller and thinner case on it. I have to remove the case at least on one end to make the connection effective. But once it is connected it works great. Simply pull the Micro Sd card and put into the adapter for it to read and transfer the contents fairly quickly.I will keep monitoring this and make a review update as we get more familiar with all the ways to make this work optimally.

Works as it should. But there is another really good use for this little thing. And that’s to change the rotation is the usb port on the camera. It has a passthrough which changes the orientation of the usb from horizontal to vertical and that is great for this of us who use the x4 as a dashboard camera.

the reader works as it's supposed to but I just don't understand why their app can't just use a standard sd card reader. Maybe its greed maybe its a patent issue they try to work around.

Bewertet wird nicht die Geschäftspolitik von Insta360, sondern ausschließlich den Quick Reader für die X4.Sonst hätte ich große Kritik dazu, dass der Quick Reader für die X3 nicht an einem iPad mit USB-C funktioniert und, dass der neue Quick Reader für die X4 nicht an einer X3 anzubringen ist.Seit ich die X3 besitze, habe ich ebenfalls einen Quick Reader für die Kamera. Der funktioniert einwandfrei, aber wenn man ein iPad mit 2 TB besitzt, ärgert man sich zwangsläufig, dass der gerade daran nicht laufen will. Damit meine ich, dass die mit der X3 erstellten Inhalte nicht direkt in die App geladen werden. Es ist nicht möglich, die Files über die Dateien-App in die Insta360-App zu laden. Ich war also immer auf eine WLAN-Verbindung angewiesen, die bedeutend langsamer ist.Mit dem Insta360 Quick Reader X4 gehört das der Vergangenheit an. Ich bin zwar darauf angewiesen, die Speicherkarte aus der X3 zu nehmen und in den Quick Reader zu legen, damit ich eine schnelle Übertragung der Files in die Insta360-App erreichen kann.Das ist für mich eine vertretbare Möglichkeit. Es sei hier aber nicht verschwiegen, dass der Quick Reader für die X4 nicht an einer X3 angebracht werden kann. Er ist sehr knapp zu breit. Wozu ich eine Speicherkarte an einem externen Gerät an einer Kamera betreiben soll, um damit den Speicher zu erhöhen, erschließt mir nicht. Das muss sich aber jeder selbst überlegen.Für jeden, der schnell Files seiner X3 und selbstverständlich seiner X4 aus ein iPad mit USB-C übertragen möchte, empfehle ich den Kauf ausdrücklich.

I bought an x3 and found that the transfer speeds were incredibly slow over wi-fi, as well as it burns down the battery and takes your iPhone/iPad off of the network while transferring files from the camera's memory card to the iPhone/iPad. Editing over the network doesn't work well either. Camera has a USB-C, as well as the phone, so why not just connect the two? Not possible :( Ok, how about taking the memory card out of the camera and use a standard card reader to connect to the phone? Also not possible :( Spend $40 on a proprietary card reader that wasn't designed to be used on an iPhone/iPad with a case on it :( To be clear, I have a very thin case, certainly thinner than the standard apple case. Great camera with terrible experience trying to use the videos it creates.
