Great product! Just make sure you read instructions for cleaning and storage. Got a better deal then buying it from ACE hardware store which was double the cost.

Great spray foam gun that is an excellent value. This makes application much more effective and significantly reduced the waste and clean up.

I have 3 cans hooked up to 3 of these guns: fire blocking, window & door, & adhesive — all for the price of what one gun could get me in store. Clean em out or keep them hooked up and you’ll be solid.

I rarely leave reviews. When I do it's usually for a product that of relatively low cost but performs exceptionally well in a market that is either saturated, or in this case cornered by 1 or 2 brands at big box stores.I was very skeptical to try this because of some of the negative reviews. But I'm glad I did. It has NO problem at all threading with major brands of spray foam. I tried both Great Stuff and Locktite brands and had no issues. There was a picture on here someone posted where the foam had overflowed and made a huge glob of a mess. This gun WILL do that if you don't screw the can completely once you begin threading it. But to avoid this.... Just screw the can on completely, and tightly. You don't have to be quick, but just don't take your time doing it.Also, be sure to pick up the foam gun cleaner as well. VERY important. Look up youtube videos on how to flush the gun. It only takes like a minute, but of you don't do it, that foam will cure in that gun just as it does anywhere else you spray it. So as you could imagine It would be impossible to clean that stuff out of the nozzle and valve once it's dried up.I've used it a few times over the past few weeks, re-insulating may roof, and it's working great so far.Maintaining your home is expensive as it is. Any dollar you can save lessons the blow. This gun was super helpful in doing that.

The main body of the gun is fine, but the handle is a brittle plastic held on with a single screw. The area held with the screw eventually snaps off, leaving you with no handle and no way to repair it. The body keeps working. The handle should be either ductile metal, fiber reinforced plastic or totally redesigned.

The nozzle works ok. It gets clogged but still work by opening the port a little more until you can wipe the tip off. The low rating is for the handle. It broke on the first use. It is plastic that is attached by a single screw. The plastic broke off around the screw. I gorilla glued it but it broke off again in the same place. I gorilla taped the handle to the nozzle. It still flexes so I have to hold with both hands to use it. The handle is necessary in order to pull the trigger.

I've done a lot of construction work and have used Great Stuff foam sealer many times. For years I bought the cans that have their own nozzle and always ended up tossing the cans when there was stuff left inside because the foam goes a long way. About 30% of them don't even work when you buy them and God help you of you store them to have around. But if you have used the cans that come with their own nozzles, you know that they are good for one use only. Once the foam dries on the nozzle, the can is useless from that point forward. The thing about these is they're cheap compared to the reusable ones so you don't feel as bad having to toss them. After wasting many of these one-use cans, I decided to buy some of the reusable cans (which are a rip-off at $15 each), and a reusable gun (another total rip-off at $75), and a couple cans of the foam solvent cleaner to clean the gun (which is basically carb cleaner you can buy for $5 per can, they total rip you off and make you pay roughly $15.00 per can). So, I used the new setup and it worked great. ONCE! After about an hour of use filling cracks around a bunch of new windows I installed, I spent 30+ minutes making absolutely sure I thoroughly cleaned the gun with the foam cleaner (during which the nozzle tip for the cleaner came off the can and disappeared so the can was useless!). I used almost an entire can of cleaner and the gun couldn't have been any cleaner.A week later, I grab the gun and head to my attic to fill the cracks in my wall sills before I reinsulate. I climb in the attic get all ready to go, and the gun I spent $75 on and nearly an entire can of solvent cleaning would only trickle out the foam of a new can. After messing with it for a few minutes hoping I didn't need to crawl back out of the attic and failing to make it work, I left the attic to try a new can of foam just in case the one I got was bad. NOPE! The gun wouldn't work!Which brings me to this review. After deciding there was no way I'm blowing another $75.00 on a Great Stuff brand foam gun, I found this one on Amazon. The reviews weren't good but for the price, bought two of them so I could use up the remaining foam I had.To make a long story short, I used both guns, cleaned both thoroughly after use and got only ONE use out of each gun before they both plugged up and couldn't be used a second time. Both are in my trash can and I'm gonna order 2 more just to finish my work and use up the foam I have, then I'm going back to the disposable foam cans. The amount of expense, cleaning and frustration with coupled with them only working once is just too frustrating.BOTTOM LINE: Don't by the reusable Great Foam unless you're ready to spend far too much money, waste hours of senseless cleaning on a gun that won't work the next time you need it or you are willing to buy disposable guns at $20 a pop. aNOT ME!
